Here is the link to their site. Leonard is on at 9:30 - and since it is "Live In London" (button #3), I am suspecting that they are showing the DVD and using the CD/DVD for fundraising?

It looks like PBS has bought/gained the right to use Live In London for their fund raising - however that works.

I did consider that. However, It is a thread specific to tonight and to one city. I felt, people might not look there for a broadcast that won't take place until a week later in another city.
Perhaps the Mods can combine the separate threads with a generic title, e.g., "LC Broadcast on TV.

If it is to be used for fundraising, it is being broadcast in LA at a soft time - 6 pm, dinner hour. And a lot of people may still be struggling with the infamous grid lock rush hour on their way home.

Hi Jim, It is great to see your name here!

It played on the PBS stations in Wisconsin on Saturday night. I didn't realize it was on and received frantic calls and emails from my sister, but unfortunately we were out. Luckily, my tivo captured it. It is just selections from the DVD and using the DVD and CD/DVD package as lures for donations. It was interesting to hear what the local commentators had to say. The PBS stations are operated by the same division of the University that I work for-I'll have to give my colleagues a rough time for not giving me adequate notice! My mother was giving me hell last night for not letting her know that it was on.

Fond memories of conversations past

I popped in here last winter to find that our man, a veritable monk for so long, was on the tour to end all tours. I managed to score some tickets for the Feb NYC appearance on eBay but was shut out of the May NYC shows. Then I’m walking in the mall last Saturday past a Ticketmaster and I see that he is going to be at the Garden in the fall I checked and got tickets in the pre-sale. Finally I’m in Starbucks yesterday reading the Times and there he is in the TV listings. My sister thinks LC is “weird” so I pulled out my trusty Iphone and called to harass her, then I posted the TV info. I figure that with all the synchronicity I’ve used up to keep informed I should give something back.

Live in London (1-hour TV edit) runs on PBS thru August.

It's been showing in this area, too. I've heard about it twice now! YAY, Leonard!!! I hope people will watch it and buy tickets to both Tampa and Ft. Lauderdale.

Still waiting for the miracle in the Detroit area! Unless it may have aired on an alternate PBS station. We have 3 in the area, but with my cable subscriber, I'm only able to pull in one, and don't see it on their programming for at least the next 3 days. It doesn't matter to me because I have the dvd, but it would be wonderful if perhaps only one person might be smitten by Leonard because of the showing! Hey Detroit PBS...are ya listening?!

If you still can't find a broadcast time in your area, call the local PBS station. I called KCET and asked for the date and said I wanted to make a pledge ONLY during the Leonard Cohen telecast. And I will.
