Here are YouTube links to four unusual Leonard Cohen performances. Thanks to Fiona Harrington who posted them on alt.music.leonard-cohen.

Thanks...I've never seen the "Arms of Regina" video, before. The whole band look as stoned as I thought they might be! The "Suzanne" improvisation is of course from "Bird On a Wire". I haven't seen that particular version of "Tenessee Waltz" before, but I have seen Leonard play it live.
All good things, John E

That's what Fiona said, she also said they all looked stoned. Leonard, especially, seems to be the one who is most affected. His bodily movements are slow and lethargic, he can't raise his eyelids all the way up and his words are slurred and incomprehensible. I am not a toxicologist, but that man is obviously under the influence of something. What substance do you think he has put into his body to make him be like that? What did he take, do you think?

Don't know, but it was no doubt effective enough!
Through the "Regina"-link, though, I have also found this very interesting and intense live version of "The Partisan" from French TV, also posted by "lightning494; some of you probably know it already, but in case you don't and are interested:
