POLAR SHIFT - SOLAR RIFT
When Truth speaks
What do you hear -
An echo from your heart?
Or the rattling of
Your chosen cage!
If you bite or turn away
Hands of Love intended,
What is revealed
But just your rage
In blinded fear
That clings
To the old familiar comfort
Of that wide, well-travelled road
Consoled in community
Your prejudice;
Praised as peace-loving
Your hate & fear
Of the Few
Bringers &
Deliverers
To and from
The Paradigm
Shift - to -
Rift - through -
the - New -
and - True -
and - Terrifying -

Makera~
"When Truth speaks
What do you hear -"
Right now, only subtle bliss in silence-
I can give you compliments on your poem - consider them given.
But whatever I can tell you, you already know
Keep shining that light!

Speaking of 'incisive'....some footnotes to the poem....
"Now it is not merely my 'credo' but the greatest and most incisive experience of my life that this door, a highly inconspicuous side-door on an unsuspicious-looking and easily overlooked footpath -- narrow and indistinct because only a few have set foot on it -- leads to the secret of transformation and renewal."
~ C. G. Jung
"All changes, even the most longed for, have their melancholy, for what we leave behind us is part of ourselves; we must die to one life before we can enter into another."
~ Anatole France

I over-looked this one the other day somehow. Very very good, Makera.

Yes, an
excellent description of 'entrenchment' ~ and that 'formidable' process, Makera. I didn't overlook your poem, just didn't comment when I read it [~ for who knows/whatever reason

~].

Thank you, Mark & Lizzy ~
Paradigms and paradoxes....
As Ken Wilber wrote,
Transformative spirituality, authentic spirituality, is .... revolutionary. It does not legitimate the world, it breaks the world; it does not console the world, it shatters it. And it does not render the self content, it renders it undone. (from an article by Ken Wilber, posted under "Not Waiting for the Miracle', on this forum)

On "entrenchment" etc.
"As we all know, the principle of inertia is not confined to the field of physical phenomena but also represents a fundamental law of human thought. As such it is an even more powerful factor in the world of history than stupidity." ~ Carl Jung
"Those who cannot change their minds, cannot change anything."
~ George Bernard Shaw
