A Ramble in Space

The sun spat out another light
past mercury, venus, earth and mars
onto infinity and past the glowing red of a dying star
past the pint of guiness that sat on the end of the bar
into the dead atoms of the grey matter
that lost energy and has refused to shatter
and the constant in deep space
that regulates the orbits and gyrations in place
and seperates the planets from the asteroids
and creates the emptiness in the black void
and the great watchmaker looks down from the divine star
and measures and examines and calculates from afar
note the position of that black hole
another human being has lost his soul
more dark matter to jumble and transfix
wasn't that molecule a complex double helix?
and when the letters are scattered on the holy ground
of symbols together and the sacred sound
placed together in a triangle of great mound
the secret's of the universe are all around
the code is broken, the secret of life eternal
we are decimated and the process starts again
like the sunshine dries up and chases the rain
and the birth of pain again and again...............

Yes George, you and I have both been star dust a million times over. And your poetry is as fresh now as it was then. 8)
Many thanks for the jolt to my system.
