I highly suspect
it took forty years
and that only
twenty were boring

Stick with me baby, stick with me anyhow
Things should start to get interesting right about now

surely it depends
whether the twenty boring
years came first or last?

how do you know it did not alternate, with a boring year following an interesting one all the time? or at they even came in five-year blocks - for that matter.

Quite right Geoffrey!

Next time I shall try my hand at lateral-thinking-before-responding.

I highly suspect
that Jack Lazariuk
thinks
that if he breaks up his dull prose
in a random
way
someone may mistake it
for poetry

I highly suspect
that if the Queen had
Diamonds under her knees
she would be
a playing card

I highly suspect
that if the Queen
had a club in her hand
she would be
another playing card

I highly suspect
that if the Queen
approached Geoffrey
den lille Norsk nutter
with a club in her hand
and diamonds
under her knees
and threatened with
one
and promised with the
other
he would stop telling lies

I highly suspect
that if the Queen
had a spade in her hand
she would pass it to Geoffrey
and say
"stop digging" (this one needs some work, Ed)

I highly suspect
that the Usual Suspects
is a great film

I acknowledge your cry for help Michael.
Breath and try to relax
be not afraid, I see that it is coming

if you truly acknowledged my cry for help you would stop chopping up prose and pretending it is poetry,

"HELP, JACK IS CHOPPING UP CRAP PROSE AGAIN AND HOPING SOMEONE WILL MISTAKE IT FOR CRAP POETRY"

"HELP, JACK CAN'T SPELL "BREATHE""

"HELP, JACK IS WRITING IN PRETENTIOUS OLDE WORLDE ENGLISH, I BE AFRAID"

my cry for help gets louder, I'm in real pain now, something is digging under my knees, oh, that's where the diamonds went, where's my naughty lover Queen who put them there, ooh there she is staying under the cover...

I have passed my queen of spades, my king of spades and my 8 of hearts to the left. I wondering though if keeping my ace of spades as my only spade was the best strategic move ...

meaning of course for you and you and you to help Jack bring Michael the help he needs. I'm willing to give it my best shot but he may be right that I would need help.

Jack, you are soooo far out of your depth. You may have many wonderful qualities but you just can't write or banter.Have you considered backing out with grace (and if she is still in the bathroom, try backing out with Charlie, that should give you a buzz)?

leaving the game for a moment ...

there is the most wonderful passage in Catch 22, in the chapter headed "The Eternal City" where the ambiguous cry of "help, police" is heard. I haven't read it for a while but my son has the great fortune to have it as a main part of his B.A. in English
