It's a bit late to call it 'news', but, if you missed it, you can still catch Jocelyn Pook's celebration of the music and meaning of the word 'Hallelujah' through history, which was on BBC Radio 4 yesterday:

You won't be surprised to know that LC crops up.

I don't know if this has been mentioned anywhere but there was another LC based programme on BBC Radio over the weekend. It was totally devoted to the song "Hallelujah" and was fascinating to hear so many different versions and so many different interpretations.

Scroll up a few inches to my first post, Kettering: that's what this thread is about. Meanwhile, to the previous poster: it was a fascinating programme (and Jocelyn Pook's composition at the end is gorgeous) and so it seems a shame that you should reduce its appeal to merely the moments LC is referred to. To wit, to properly appreciate Cohen's place in the programme one needs to listen to all of it.

Actually, I think Kettering was in fact referring to another BBC radio program that focused on Leonard Cohen's 'Hallelujah'. http://www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer/episode/b0 ... inor_Fall/
Seems to be available only for a couple more days.

Whoops, sorry - I misread it: it was the 'over the weekend' bit that got me.
