Halloween Poem

I listen now
to poems read by no-one

I hear the sun
has known explosions
we will see tonight – even
thru clouds, magnificent
magic energy dance, Aurora
Borealis

Tonight candles
burning for the dead, their souls
& every tombstone inscription will refract
Heavenly Light, grave matter

Magnetic life, gray clouds swirling
like iron filings. I listen
to the rustle of leaves

Namu Amida Butsu
I invoke thee, Buddha
of Compassion

Dear Taigaku ~

I genuinely hope you will one day get your writings published. From the outer reaches of the universe to all that is within, you exquisitely describe the night of this year's Halloween, and invoke the greatest quality of all.

Love,
Elizabeth

Dear Taigaku.
Your poem made me think about the autumn and the dead. I don't know how to describe it but i like it a lot.
We don't celebrate halloween but we have a day (nov 2nd ) called the souls day. Our ancestors believed that on this day the dead come back to their homes, to their relatives. One has to be kind to them. Candles are lit. This poem reminds me of this day- the sorrow of autumn, the blowing of wind, the memories about the people who have passed away...
