Comparisons

Let's look
at the meek and the mild
the Madonna and the Holy child
the ying and the yang
the hoodlums and their gang
the dark and the night
and the glow of the divine light
and the ghosts of the second sight
and the fact we are always right
the burnt babies and the bomb
the singer from the song
the stripper from the thongs
the crack from the pipe
the elastic along the stripe
and the beautiful fruit that was so ripe with hormones
and the death of women by JCB stones
racism and the pure white geromes
apes that were made to walk upright
time travel and the mystics of the night
the murderer and their victims fright
the boxer that has lost the will to fight
the baby being pushed to the light
and the dead being cascaded in oak wood
and the energy in everyone that is pure and good
and the executioner and the dark hood
and the money you never gave and you wished you should
and the emaciated babies dying and wished that you had
the conmen and the common cad
the tears of envy and the tears of the sad
the girls that wished they were born lads
and the whole melting pot of inequity
that leads to comparisons of plenty
whilst our brains are turned off to empty
Let our hearts bleed no more
and channel the core
and allow us to soar, past the plains of intolerance
and not leave things to chance
