Tickets secured for Sunday and Monday night. Thanks Jarkko and Co. Now who is going to arrange preconcert meet-ups for the two concerts for fans from the sticks? Brazen Head?

Is there a Laurel and Hardy fan in the house?

Hi JD.. I think the only reason for the delay in anyone responding to you is probably that Kieron hasn't been online since you made your post! KIERON??!!! I'm on for a meetup myself. Listening to the man as we speak.... And so exited about the gigs. Again...

The Brazen Head worked well last summer, partly because one could walk to the venue. I suggest for the 2009 gigs we meet up somewhere within walking distance of the O2. I do not know Dublin very well but there is a myriad of pubs/restaurants close to the IFSC.
The Vaults under Connolly station might be appropriate?
Somebody with more local knowledge perhaps might suggest an alternative.

My "sticks" are East Limerick, Gregor. I dont know the area around the O2 very well so someone with local knowledge might help out.

There's a hotel close to the o2 arena - I think it's a Jurys hotel. It's within walking distance of the venue and even though it will be busy on those nights, there would be more space for a big group.
Cheers

I have booked a night at the Jury's Inn supposedly near the O2 so if there is a meetup there, I will be around anyway, haha

jurys on the quays would be great for meet-up. close to the train station and a few minutes walk from 02/the point.
Can't wait. Thanks so much for the pre-sale.
Anyone from Ireland going to Hydra ????

Sigh. LC concerts in Dublin and talk of the Brazen Head. I've such good memories of last summer. But I'll be in Dublin the week before to see Springsteen, so no LC for me this year. Have an excellent time everyone!

Jury's on the Quays sounds fine, it's pretty near the venue anyway. Which night is the meetup planned for.?
In answer to the previous post, I'm hoping to go to Hydra, and I've seen a few other Irish names on the list.

I don't know Dublin that well but I know that there are a few 'local pubs' in Ringsend that might have a better atmosphere for a drink before the gig, rather that Jury's.
From those pubs in Ringsend it's just over the bridge to the O2.
Just throwing out another alternative......
Regards, Joan.

Brazen Head a good walking distance from the O2. There are a few pubs on the Quays but Jury's Inns Hotel is just a very short distance from the O2. It may not have the atmosphere of some of the hostelries/pubs on the quays, there would probably be more space for a bigger group.
