Welcome to the Forum, awu :D !

I want to be sure I am understanding you correctly.

Are you saying that Leonard's beautiful song, "Dance Me to the End of Love" is being used as the primary music for a new film titled "Lost & Found," by the Chinese director, Wangjing?

Are you also saying that the theme of the film is losing and finding love; or being lost and then being found by someone through love, akin to the song? And then ~ that both the movie and the song make you feel wonderful? Listening to the song also makes me feel wonderful and hopeful. If I saw this movie, I believe I would also feel the same.

Have I understood you, awu? I hope so.

What is the meaning of your avatar/Chinese character? Is it your name or a statement of something?

~ Elizabeth

Dear Awu
I'm glad we have a new member living in China! I have posted the basic info about "Lost & Found" on the Filmography page at
http://www.leonardcohenfiles.com/filmo.html
Do you happen to know when the movie was first shown in China? (the year I mean). - I have names of all contributors on the page linked above; if you want/can give me your full name I'll add it to the listing (now I'm crediting just "Awu")

Hi Awu ~

I've just now read your most recent posting. Not sure how that happens, but it does sometimes :( . I'm sorry my reply has had to take this long. Yes, you understood correctly, and answered correctly, what I was asking 8) .

I agree with Jarkko's comment that it's great to have someone from China on the Forum! When you have to rely on cybercafes, you also have to really want to be here!

I'm happy to see that the movie you saw has been added to Jarkko's list :D !

Now all he needs is your full name!

Awu, of course it is totally up to you if you want your name included
on the Filmography page, or not. If that could cause you any problems
let's forget it, but let us know the year if you can find it somewhere!
Jarkko

Thanks

Jarkko, Lizzytysh, George.wright:
Thanks you three!
I haved looked at the list. I think it has been in the list. maybe the movie I alluded is just the "Lost And Found" you have added.
I am not sure whether it was directed by Wangjing or not :( but the action of the movie was described in the page is just the one I was watched.
The girl, Kelly, was a woman suffer in the cancer. In her last days, she want look for something for life just as love. One day, she met a man whose work is the lost and found. So she employed him to help her to finding her hope, In fact, It's just the love... yes, It's so graceful. Just like the song name---Dance Me To The End Of Love...

You can call me Grizzly :)
And I'm sorry my reply has had to take this long.

Ok, then the film was produced in Hong Kong in 1996. From my Filmography page I copy:

"Screenplay by [director] Lee Chi-Ngai. A beautiful woman (Kelly Chan) has leukemia, but learns how to live, and with whom to fall in love, (Takeshi Kaneshiro, or Michael [Fitzgerald] Wong). In spite of the sad starting point, the film has a graceful, lively, kind of witty tone that supports the story, about loss and death, without undue melancholy. "
