Dolphin Dancing

~Dolphin Dancing~

Blithe fluidity

~~~~~Lithe lucidity
Silver arcs shimmer
from flash
~~~~~~to splash
and glimmer
In a glimpse

~~~~~~~~~to grasp
The heart-leap
of Freedom's touch
In the spirit
~~~~~~of emotion
In the ocean

~~~~~~of their Joy
To turn, turn as
A little child
To See
~~~~~~~so free
To Be
And laugh as One

~~~~~to Dance among
The angels of
~~~~~~~~~the Sea

(1996)

[for Tatiana]

a flowing sine wave of the dolphin's dance
towards the other side
and watch the rhythm of life, ebb and tide
and cross the towers of babels of the great computer divide
and allow the angels or mermaids on the back of the dolphin, do ride
language reorganised, the language of universal love
cross the cyberspace in the clasp of the white Holy Dove
Nice poem, Makera..........Georges

Thank you, George~
Did you just do that little piece on the spot?
(A little tidying up would make it perfect) not trying to be 'nit-picky', it's just an 'affliction' - you know. :wink:

Makera, that's ABSOLUTELY BEAUTIFUL!!! :D

Your poem gives such a sensitive characterization of the dolphins - so vivid, visual and evocative!
The alliterations, the onomatopoeic words and the graphic composition of your poem - the small waves and the 'dancing' of the words - add so beautifully to it and paint a wonderfully vivid picture of the dancing dolphins!

Love, Susanne :)

(Ooh, I love that word, 'onomatopoeia')

Thanks Susanne, :wink:
I decided to give the whole thing a colour face-lift.

Also, I wanted to tell George how much I appreciated his wonderful, spontaneous poetic responses to my poetry. Because we had often communicated (re poetry) via PMs, I may have appeared 'ungracious' to some casual observers.

Love,
Makera
