Dear Makera~

From a kindred spirit of yours, William Blake, I bring forth two stanzas from the poem 'The Little Girl Lost':

In futurity
I prophetic see
That the earth from sleep
(Grave the sentence deep)

Shall arise and seek
For her Maker meek;
And the desert wild
Become a garden mild.

May it be so! ~Taigaku

One that persists in my memory-

Ah sunflower, weary of time
who countest the steps of the sun
seeking after that sweet golden clime
where the traveller's journey is done.

Where the youth pined away with desire
and the pale virgin shrouded in snow
arise from their graves and aspire
where my sunflower wishes to go.

Regards, Owl.

I love that, Witty Owl. It reads and sounds like a classic.

It is one of Blake's verses that really caught my attention. Most likely because I have had a long standing attraction/obsession with sunflowers; growing, photographing and painting them. Some many years ago I set this verse to music.

Cheers, Owl remembers.

Thank you Witty, for the Blake verses. :D

That is another I hadn't read. But this one I know:

"This life's five windows of the soul
Distorts the Heavens from pole to pole,
And leads you to believe a lie
When you see with, not thro', the eye
That was born in a night, to perish in a night,
When the soul slept in the beams of light."
