Poem for Leonard Cohen

Thinking of Leonard Cohen
Do you like the texture of my Hair?
Notice, I'm not asking about its style
Since I've worn it for you long or short
Straight or wavy.
I only observe the strands of gray
As I growing wiser
Still dream that you are
My most beautiful fair tale.
The candles I light
Suffice to create
The eerie state
When you spring out of the album cover.
Your strong face makes me shut my eyes
Even now after all this time
In which I've learned to know you
Better than all the men I wanted to know.
