The Way of Truth
In all things
Cannot be Learned without Experience
Cannot be Taught without Example
Of greatest Example there is but One
And you the Example must become

I really like this, Makera. Deceptively "simple" lines. Almost proverbial in the "authority" they carry.

Humble thanks,
To Lizzytysh & Vesuvius for your perspicacious critiques.
Confession: I had to 'edit' when I noticed I'd transposed 2 lines in my own
poem. Minor, even imperceptible, detail. But you gotta 'learn'
before you can 'teach', right?

Good point, Makera, on the reality of it. For the poem, however, it seems [looking at the change] to actually work both ways. I have to look up "perspicacious" now, since I've finally conquered its pronunciation. OK. Done. However, reading its definition, I realized I
have looked it up before. Can't recall where I first encountered it, but know it was somewhere here. Obviously, not a word one quickly makes a part of their everyday vocabulary, but it sure says a lot once it
is used. By the way, you're welcome
