Poem for Leonard

To the one named Cohen
I dedicate this poem.
In times of need
For many years
Your songs have spoken
To my tears
Your darkened voice
Veiled my being
Healed my heart
Till ready for seeing
You guided me through
Love and hate
When I could no longer
Relate
And as I grew
With song and word
I woke to find
You'd left the world
I thought you'd gone
For good an all
But then you jumped
Your spiritual wall
And landed on
Boogie street
Now your songs
Live in my smile
So let me take awhile
To say
Love bless you Leonard
For being where
No one else would dare
To be.
Many thanks
