Leonard Cohen Birthday Celebration in New York

Since the September Meetup falls on 9/11 and there doesn't seem to be much interest in meeting that day, for those New Yorkers who
can't fly halfway around the world to participate in the "official"
Leonard Cohen birthday celebrations why not have a Leonard Cohen
Birthday Meeting/Celebration on Sept 21 in New York?
Anyone interested?

Hi Lizzy,
Don't worry, it doesn't look like you will be missing anything.
I just thought it would be fun to have a small informal gathering,
share what we've read or listened to or heard and celebrate something
wonderful for a change - LC's birthday.
It seems I'm the only one in New York who thinks this would be a good idea, so I'll just turn up the music, dive into the two books that just arrived, Let Us Compare Mythologies and Death of a Lady's Man
and maybe drop in on the chat room on Sept 21st.

Great idea, and would love to come -- our problem is out of town guests, with prior commitments, from friday till sunday.
Doesn't mean we won't be thinking of LC and so many good friends in the LC circle however. Big hugs all around!

I'm sorry I missed you in the Chatroom on Leonard's birthday! I was there earlier in the afternoon for a fair while, and then came back in quite a bit later, for a while [Dar was there]. However, I asked and learned from "f" that I had just missed you! Drat!!! It was my intent to meet up with you there. I hope that you enjoyed your time with the others who made it. The room was nicely crowded in the afternoon. How was it while you were there?
