The traditional first day present is a bad poem right?
Okay the poems choppy as hell, BUT there’s a murder (two if you count the fish) and some okay puns.


Holding her shoe to the oracle
of her ear, she listened for
secrets of the sole.
A bell told the coming, of a small
profit, who for a price
would set her to sea.

‘Freedom comes in waves’
declared the sear, now grilling the sole.
‘There will be times when you’ll be bound in life,’
‘but worse, times when these ties will be cut.’
She looked suspiciously to the ropes at his side

‘Now, a waiver you must sign,
before our next course.’
Then he handed her a torte
with a pen not a fork.
She bit it then started to bleed.

‘Trus’ me’, he said
so truss him she did,
using his own lines
she left him,
tide to his ankles,
tied to his wrists.
A kiss on each eye,
she left him to see
the water rising.

btw all the tieing reminded me more of Passover where the Israelites are fleeing the House of Bondage, Egypt.

oh all the tying - well I wanted to avoid the oil thing - you know the hot oil that lasted all those people 8 nights. It would be hard not to get a bit dirty there and I'm trying to be more appropriate on the forum and avoid anything sexual. The tying thing is probably just a subconscious carry over of my new Macrame hobby.

Passover sounds somehow more interesting then I thought, I shall read up on it I think the 10 commandments movie missed the House of Bondage part (joke).
