-4-
I tried to take faith
And cage it, hold it in my hands
I thought it would hold me when I fell
But it became nothing but doubts
And I was crushed under them.

Yes, Ev, it seems that true faith is a much more subtle process...and only then can it truly sustain itself, as well as you. Similar to the chasing of happiness vs. allowing it to land lightly on your shoulder like a butterfly. You learned something about yourself, however, didn't you?

Yeah... I did learn something =).

Faith cannot be grasped-
Only trusted
For it is something you cannot hold-
Only know.

ten years on - how you doing? I had an opposite experience of your poem...it seemed to me that my faith was a wild thing and it was only when I fell that I called it to me. It had always been there, but i hadn't.
your poem hit me.
Thanks.
Blessings x
