Her story

There was a man
on his way to glory.
And there was a woman
who was waiting for her story.

They met by the little river
and on they went together.
The woman seeking for the One
and the man for someone.

He wanted to be a hero
Someone they'll remember.
She just wanted love and peace
and a guy who'd hold her tender.

"The war is very near
Soon it'll be here.
It's time for action
Let's go and be famous"

The man was willing
but the woman was afraid.
The woman was cautious
but the man wanted to be brave.

So when it was time
where a step had to be made.
they turned each other
and they walked their separate ways.

I'm not certain with what connotation you're using your/the word "naive," Sandra; however, I will say that your last verse, Greta, shows very interesting insight:

"So when it was time
where a step had to be made.
they turned each other
and they walked their separate ways.."

In many situations, it's all too true. The inability to act.

hi Lizz!
mmm the word naive came to my mind when associating the willingness and braveness of the man and the fear and cautiosness of the female, being those like the first associations we do in relation with men and women personalities....

Thanks, Sandra. From previous conversations with you, I figured there had to be a different perspective on naive that you were coming from, than what I was picking up on or could figure out on my own. I see what you're saying in the way you're saying it, now.
