Vanilla Fudge

As I mentioned I went to Nevada this weekend, actually to Las Vegas to see "Vanilla Fudge's Mark Stein and Vince Martell" play on Saturday night, at the Cannery Casino & Hotel.
What I didn't expect was that this show is to be the start of a tour called the "Let's Pray For Peace Tour". How cool it was. Magic stuff.
I posted Mark's song Let's Pray For Peace once before, but I'd thought I'd do it again. It is an inspired song, putting in simple words all we have to do to save the world.
Funny how trying to save the world is used as a put-down, how you definitely "can't save the world" and are an idiot to try, etc... etc... All these quaint little cynical things we do to pretend we're grown ups.
But we can save the world - and if we just act like we can, we can because it doesn't take that much or that many people. Why isn't "saving the world" encouraged on everybody I wonder.
It doesn't take anything but atitude.
God is with me. You won't convince me of sin.
I smoke like chimney, I cuss... Watch: See, I just opened a new tab for Google and searched on "porn", clicked the "Images" tab, then turned off "SafeSearch", and there we are. I'm gonna type "shit", and he's typing with me.
God is still with me. He knows what I look at, he knows what I think, he knows all my frustrations, anger, bad, good, whatever. He loves, I judge. And he's been there all my life, I just found out from him recently, and I can see when and where as I look back - all the time. He watched teenage Casey beat the pulp out of his pet dog because there was no other way he could think of to express the confusion and anger he felt at life. Fortunately God saved the dog's life! Maybe he doesn't sometimes. He watched the adult Casey slap his daughter for being totally impossible to control - drawing real blood. He's watched and been with me on every misadventure, every good adventure, and everything in between... why, he and I could tell you stories that would curl your hair - but probably not. I'm pretty boring.
But it doesn't matter if you're boring or Ghengis Kahn. None of the stuff we think matters matters. We strain at gnats and swallow camels, and it's insane. We go to church - or we don't go - but together we keep thermo nuclear weapons at the ready with the fruits of our labors. They are our nuclear weapons. We kill at the drop of a hat by proxy - thinking we're innocent but we Westerners are in charge of our own governments, and we are so bloody callous and cruel to all living things it's just not funny anymore.
But God's here - not just by me there by each one of you reading this message. And he knows it all - everything you are. He's not "punishing", he's letting us have our head. How plain does it need to be, how many people have to die by our hands?
Don't you have dreams at night? Don't you listen to them? Don't you amaze yourself at what you think up sometimes? Don't the beautiful things of life amaze you, so much so that you just feel at home looking up at the clouds and saying thank you? Do you look to see if the clouds answer back? That's how God talks. He talks, and you try to figure it out.
This song is so cool, because it describes what is so impossible here, and most other places right now, the coming together and actually THINKING and REASONING God out from the available evidence, compiling statistics, sticking to the facts, examining the testimony.
It describes what will take place in some galaxy far away, at some future date when we're all trying to save the world because we're finally trying to save ourselves. When we've all decided to be the Messiah that saves Israel.
Ignoring the death and suffering we deal others to live life well ourselves will not last long. Offers we cannot refuse are coming along.

It was a great show. All the people were great people. What we see is all God too. Mark is Mark's Messiah, Leonard is Leonard's Messiah, I am my Messiah, please consider being yours.
Isn't it all so cool... I love this stuff.
As Jesus said: Our Father judges no one, he has given judgment to his sons and his daughters. Let's please stop killing and pray for Peace. Watch what happens, ask what will happen. All I did was ask as a drowning man - then I listened.
God is not the boogie man. He is not a killer. We must stop the killing. There is a way to do that.
I'm still listening. It's something......... Wonderful.
Ask, listen, ask, listen. He's right there with you - or She if you prefer.
Trying to share is so confused here, these days. Forget idiots like me. Certainly forget church. Just ask that Guy sitting right there with you.
Argh. Please. Try it. Clouds. Dreams. Morning thoughts. Maybe you'll get even better.
