Rebirth again

When time goes slowly, you know that you are young
and the burning sun goes on forever
When time accelerates, you know you are older
and usually bolder and the rain never stops
when time is at light speed, you know that it's near over
and no time to look over the shoulder, for death cuts crops
When suddenly it is still....................
and if it be thy will
you are at the beginning and the end
the Alpha and the Omega
where the full stop starts
and the rat enters the pipe
and the taste of the turkish delight
the knowledge of what is right
there is no twinkle in that star
and the fairies come to light
and you long to shout, that is not fair
but theres no one about
to dispell the magick and be the tout
there's a lot of pushing and pulling to get out
and the blood is not on your forehead but in your hair!
Love to all...............Georges

Hi George,

This a real kaleidoscope of a poem! :) It's amazing in that it has these beautiful prisms of thought. Each line is like looking at a different picture of light! :) I enjoy them so much.

Hi George again,

I was going to add that I liked your use of time going slowly, accelerating and then going at "light speed". Good metaphor! 8)

"When time goes slowly, you know that you are young

These lines take me back like you would not believe. For me, such an excellent description of youth.

"When time accelerates, you know you are older
and usually bolder and the rain never stops"
Likewise, this image of contrasts for where I'm at now.

I like the way this one flows, Georges....and where it flows.

Thanks CoCo and Liz for your kind words.
I wanted to write this for some time (Oops) and have noticed like others the speeding up of your life as you grow older.................
