Under the topic "So long leonard" it was a little debate on LC, buddism and judaism.
As for religion he was asked about this in a long interview on Norwegian TV last year:

"The actual tenance of zen, I would be very hard pressed to tell you, it never really interested me. I liked the life there (on Mount Baldy), getting up early in the morning......"

"Would you call yourself a religious man?"

"I would not call myself a religious person, no. I am not so interested in theological or religious goals, but I am interested in relaxation. I don´t believe in any version of God that I can come up with. Some times a deep appetite for prayer arises, and then I pray. But where that prayer is adressed, I would not dare to say. I would not dare to describe where my prayer is aimed."

Maybe this program can be found on http://www1.nrk.no/nett-tv/sok/leonard+cohen, but in the time of writing this it was impossible to get access due to busy lines.
But if it´s not there, you will find other nice things. Among them the radio program " If it be your will. Leonard Cohen on art and love" which won Prix Italy for best Europian radio documentary last year. It is in Norwegian, but I believe it will make some sense also to others.
