New works, pt. 5

I wrote this one rather quickly at work this evening. Since I'm apparently not gaining many fans with my other material because they're soooo long perhaps they'll enjoy this one better.
(Untitled)
Love is an inoperable tumor
Manifest in the marrow of the soul
We carry the scalpel with us
But each wound is just a hole
Exceeding the vast plain of solitude
It expands like a rubber balloon
If we pick the scabs of discontent
The bubble will burst too soon
I heard that your body was free
Your mind was cloudy, your heart on the rocks
I held it all for ransom
And demanded an affectionate response
But your love, it remained dormant
I allowed mine to tenderly grow
And I stopped taking my medication
I just thought you might like to know
