Flowers for Leonard?

Hello fellow Leonard fans,

I'm in my late 30's and have been a fan of Leonard's since high school. I have tickets to two of the upcoming Toronto shows and am so excited that I can barely contain myself.

A friend who is coming with me to the Sunday night show suggested bringing flowers to throw to Leonard onstage. Those of you who have seen Leonard before - would this get us thrown out of the concert hall, or would we be simply be regarded as sweetly fanatical? :)

Several people reported throwing flowers on stage without problems.
I had doubts about doing it this way, and brought my bouquet of roses to the backstage doors just before the concert begun. I was lucky to run into one of the musicians and he took the flowers, they were brought onto the stage and remained there for the concert (and I was acknowledged by name at the encore by LC  ).

Toronto concert venue is much larger then Maritimes', and it might be difficult to get to the stage, or even to the backstage doors.
Maybe flowers could be forwarded through the stage personnel, somebody with access to LC ? it's a common practice in Europe.

I brought my gift, which included roses, to the stage door at Holy Heart Theatre on Sunday afternoon, just before LC arrived there to get ready for the first show. I gave it to a man at the door, whom I mistook for a roadie but turned out to be Dino Soldo. He thanked me graciously. I didn't see the show until Tuesday night, and I don't know if LC acknowledged the gift or not, but I feel confident, because of the kind way Mr Soldo accepted the gift, that LC received it personally.

Of course, ideally, the gift would be "a box of chocolates and a long stemmed rose".

At the concert in Moncton, a young lady came up to the stage after one of his encores with roses, and
LC came down and reached for them without hesitation.

You know, I thought about doing that. ;)

The question then would be, what kind of chocolates?

Hi
I was at the Albert Hall concert in 1970 when a 'Flower child' walked to the stage and presented Leonard with a single red rose.
It seemed at the time, a special and meaningful gesture, and I often wondered whether it had been organised by his record company or tour management but has been assured that it was unlikely.
I wonder if she reads this forum or whether like many people from the 60's has changed beyond recognition!!!
The world nearly changed....

HAPPY BIRTHDAY, DAVE :D !!!

This seemed an appropriate place to wish you well. I'm sure it's already been mentioned that on his last night performing in Montreal, someone gave Leonard a white rose, which he held throughout the song, as well. It was a charming sight. I'm hoping someone will have determined and mentioned by whom it was given.

I hope your birthday has gone well 8) .

At the Copenhagen concert we watched a rose being thrown towards thr stage, but unfortunatly it fall down to earth too early; i managed to talk to a securitx-person right behind the "safety-fence", who was so kind as to place thr rose onto the stage. Mr C noticed it and thanked for the flower. Kind security man!!
