This is from a 'Creativity Challenge' that I participated in. We were to write sequential poems based on characters we were assigned - I was give Energizer Bunny. I cheated at II that wasn't written for bunny - that's just me sucking on a crushed caffeine tablet waiting for the water to boil - I needed 4 sections.
Ms. Bunny - first revision
I. Moving to a different beat
He wants more drumming,
... She wants to move to different beats.
Shoving eggs at her, he vows
... to stop leaving them on others beds…
Claiming his chocolate has made
... her bitter, she throws them into her bag.
The only thing worse then words flying
are no words, before silence
hits, Bunny closes the door.
II. making tea.
Snow falls outside her caffeine headache.
Clutching cup to chest, she waits.
Time slows, stops: she vibrates through
to when she could still touch him,
a kettles scream pulls her back.
Shacking hands, prepare mornings tea
even a bunny needs to energize.
III. Bunny on the battle field
The dyslexic saint stands above the fallen,
there is still one, who seems to be breathing.
Unto her knees she falls
in a last ditch effort to save him,
she sucks the life energy from his body.
Disappointed with the result,
bunny wanders from the field.
IV - Bunny moves to the mountain
The drum calls them to meditation,
saffron robes sweep over the mountain.
Bunny bows her smooth head
silence, stillness permeates
all, but her tapping foot and wandering mind.
Nirvana waiting, if only the monk next her
didn’t have such strong hands and smell of mint.
