Hello Friends!
There are many of us who fell "Famous blue raincoat" as the song of our lives. This is provably the best Leonard Cohen's song ever and it could be a dream to listen to it in this tour. Just the master and his guitar... and all of us just whispering...
We want to listen at least to one song of the best L.P. ever, "Songs of love and hate".
Please Leonard, Can you make real our dream?.
If you fell the same, please write a comment and maybe we'll get it...

Don't hold your breath. He played it only once in 1988 and not at all in 1993. He has said he was never satisfied with the song.

I olso think a perfect venue must include "Famous Blue Raincoat", and I olso think it is Leonard's best song ever. It was allways present in his tours untill 1988 and this is our last chance to listen to it live.
Please Mr. Cohen....Do it

I was expecting to see this song in any setlist. FAMOUS BLUE RAINCOAT is also my favourite song and the favourite song of many many of us.
I agree, this is our last chance
Please Mr. Cohen, can you make it possible?.
Sincerelly,
Eve.

First song I ever heard by him you in Gibraltar in 1978 and I would love it if you would play it in Manchester on Tuesday. The town is famous for it's rainfall which nearly demands some Famous Blue Raincoats regardless of any imperfections or torn shoulders!

1. Cohen doesn't read this forum. As you may have noticed, he's rather busy at the moment.
2. Even if he does, his choice of songs is not going to be swayed by five people making the same request, or (as in this case) by one person making the same request under five different user names. Nor should it be.
3. Even if it is, he's not going to sing "Famous Blue Raincoat".

Dear Richardrj!
I thank you, I thank you for doing your duty,
you keeper of truth, you guardian of beauty.
Your vision is right, my vision is wrong,
I'm sorry for smudging the air with my post.
Sincerelly,
Roberto.

Ha ha ha Roberto, that made me smile. I sospect that we may not get to hear what we hope for but I will live in hope and hope too that I am not replying to myself in one of my five disguises. Have you noticed that a number of acts from I'm Your Man are on the Big Chill bill ...... I wonder!

I agree, within reason, but for those of us who abandon reason for the pursuit of hope, I saw a note on another thread that seriously inferred that The raincoat was rehearsed and perhaps repaired and ready to wear at an appropriate moment .... please....please.... please
