This heavy autumnal evening

Please read aloud

This heavy autumnal evening
Lost in my veil of tears
Slowly turns the darkness
Forcing sun and light to yield
For Death is on the ascendance

Take, the colours you’re offered
Harvest, the gifts of the breeze
Run, you thoughts, along hedgerows
Bring me, woven images to tease
And I’ll lay in the glow
Of remembrance
Till
Spring

Actually, Byron ~ With my second reading, as with my first when I initially read it, the words aloud, the images, and the process they usher in, sound good to mine own ears. Very poetic and flowing.
