"Hallelujah" turned into Tribute to Allah

"Tribute to Allah ~ Ya ilahi ~ Muhammad Husayn best song ever"
video in high quality:
http://rapidshare.com/files/87429183/...

the song is "fi lailatin min al layali" by Muhammed Al Husayn from the amazing "mawlay" album.

The first pillar of islam, "la illaha illa allah, muhammadan rassoulou allah" is not just to believe it, but apply it. I.E: Follow only Allah and the sunna of rassoul s3ws for example if you neglect your jumu3a prayer because of your job, you are commiting shirk-associating with Allah-. Like it or not this is islam.
I am tired of seeing non muslims explaining islam to non-muslims and "muslims" who aint muslims and believe their lies. Ok WE are muslims, WE know ISLAM. OK? i dont ask about christiannity to a Jew or a Buddhist.
I am tired of seeing muslims trying to forgive islam by saying islam is peace blablabla because of the lies they make with no shame such that they kill theyre own to destroy us. WE are not the one who should be ashamed of ourselves in anyway, if only you knew. If these people dont want to learn islam let them be and stay away from them they wont listen to anybody else but themselves like it or not so let them follow their path. And i am sure soon they will replace current muslims and when that day would happen what would you who follow them today have to say?

I pray Allah opens the eyes of my muslim brothers and sisters as he opened mine. AMEEN.

Wow--I wonder if Leonard has seen this. I had the good fortune to hear another Leonard song translated into Cree --very moving. Thanks to Anne and jarkko for keeping us posted.

This is incredilbly moving. The fact that a Jew wrote the song and a Muslim adapted it is heartwarming. A really really good "version". Leonard has actually written a modern hymn and it really doesn't matter who your God is - if you forget the sexual connotation!! Thanks for the link Anne.

Thanks Minna! I just searched through your posts after reading what you said in the Springsteen thread, and what a treasure! Never thought I might hear Hallelujah in Arabic, and so beautifully sung. It is haunting. I feel as if I need to take a long walk into the desert, until I can hear someone singing it. Is it the Sahara that is waiting or is it me.

Nice one!

Everything you've said is so true, Paula. This adaptation is very moving. The kind of respect we all ought to have for each other shows in this video. Beautifully shown and wonderfully performed.

Thank you, Anne and Jarkko.

I remembered this, and thought it worth bringing back to the top.

The words are wrong, but that makes little difference when you don't understand anyway:-) The Arabic language contains sounds that are just so compelling. My favourite cover.
