Outside of Time

Walking through this life
I look upon all the souls
wondering what went wrong.

I try telling them
thair way of living
is not worth a dime
and they will find the answer
in the Higher One
they seek not to find.

I was once on the lonley road
with no piece of mind
A few stopped by to tell me of
the Greate Love that was Kind.

Maybe it was good for them
but that love did not seem to
mingle with my kind
So I trudge the streets everyday
redemption being the last thing on my mind
somehow I felt the pain would last
til the end of time.

Things got worse as they always do
when you hang on the cross of time
I hated myself and this life...
It was the pain that became my sign.

To this day I do not know
did I make peace with the Lord
or just loose my mind
One thing I know for sure
is that I live outside of time.

Tell me, how do you manage to write like this? It's been a long while since I last saw poetry of this standard.

William, put down that drink and don't be so horrid! A nice session of ironing would sort you out, Sunny

Have you seen any of William's sonnets lately?
Breathless!
