Whats the news? Does anyone think he will be playing the Royal Albert Hall In London???
Thats where I saw him first, and it was a wonderful experience.Okay I'm seeing him in Lisbon--but if he plays the Albert Hall as well--it will be mind boggling!! and I shall have to start saving like mad. I would follow him around the world-if only I had the money!!!!

There are no Albert Hall concerts scheduled this summer. August will include concerts in Spain (many!), East Europe and even one out of Europe. The only UK gig on the tentative list is Big Chill festival in Ledbury (August 3, already on sale). I hope the rest of the summer tour dates can be announced soon.

I have absolutely no inside information whatsoever. However, asssuming that Leonard's tour makes in into the winter as suggested, I would not be at all surprised if he did a run of concerts at The Royal Albert Hall later this year (or early next year). It seems odd that Leonard only has one London concert scheduled, when he's soing four nights in Manchester. I think that the O2 Arena will be such an unusual experience for him that he won't be able to resist a return to the Royal Albert Hall. Let's hope that if there is a second leg to the tour that a better system of ticket allocation can be introduced. Reducing the tickets to maximum two per person per show would be a good place to start, as would no involvement with Ticketmaster!
All the best, John E

hello, John and catswhiskers-
I am so with you both on this... I take heart that Jarkko refers to "summer" tour ... so what of winter and possible promotion of the new cd? The RAH is Leonard's home in London. I shall attend the O2 out of respect for LC's financial need, yet I still yearn for the atmosphere in the RAH.

It would be very good news indeed if Leonard does come back to London and does what I feel is the best venue in London for him ,the Albert Hall , much better than the O [dear in more ways than one] 2. I like John's idea of tickets sales not being managed by Ticketmaster as well and limited to two per person , it would be good to have to register for them in your name so they could not be sold on, something I have touched on in earlier posts re tickets. He is hoping the miracle comes, back to London.

I know I am being incredibly cheeky, but I have just looked at the schedule for THE ROYAL ALBERT HALL---the Proms start on the 18th July, but nothing is listed on Sat 12th July,or Monday 14th til Thursday 17th.We know hes playing Amsterdam on the 12th but there is a break until Edinburgh on the 16th.Does Leonard know there is availablity then, and if so would he consider arranging a concert at the place where MANY of his fans think he belongs??? Please,Leonard, come to your true home--We will all be waiting!!

i found out the other day that Leonard's tour organisers AEG actually own the 02 arena, maybe this is a context that was not mentioned before
(from a Londoner who is going to see Leonard in Manchester not London !)

Shame that there is still no Royal Albert Hall concert, and those of us who had no choice other than to go for the London venue have got to go to the 0 [dear] 2 . I hope despite all things, someone will have a Damascus defining moment on the tour and send Leonard back to what I feel is the best venue for him and where most of the London based fans would have liked to see him play,The Royal Albert Hall. Please Leonard if you ever pick up things from here how about calling on the tour to swing round to a great venue and make a lot of fans even happier.
