We had to wait such a long time
apparantly it has been a crime
but since we still can hum our tune
let's go again and feed the moon

Revive a love that has been fiddled
for many reasons to be belittled
there is no way to see a tragic
when we recall the former magic

Love may hurt, love may disfigure
may even break what has been secure
a voice from a mysterious star
is telling us to go that far

That bond that once has been created
doesn't care if we're belated
to live our love as something real
by showing up our common seal

Tough and rough is your life as a seaman
sailing an ocean filled with bitter lemon
but the highs do rise and break the downs
in your morning dreams of evening gowns

 ~ Seeing your thread title made me laugh, Henning. Reading your poem caused me to think of a particular relationship in my life that warrants every possible consideration of this nature. Thanks for your poem from your collection  . It's not the least bit lousy in my eyes ~ it touches and plucks [read that as the guitar as an instrument plays prominently in my precious memories] some very resonating chords.
