plea

tell her you found me laughing.
tell her i don't care anymore.
it might hurt her to know she has hurt me,
so please tell her these lies for me,
and be nice. she really deserves it.
be kind, be nice, she deserves it.

Hi Tom ~ Was this based on that song by Dylan that someone mentioned awhile back? The "If you see her......" line?

Lizzytysh -

your memory - accurate as can be.

On April 17th, in the "College Student looking for information...." thread, I quoted a line from Dylan's "If you see her, say hello" ("She might think that I've forgotten her, don't tell her it isn't so") and added, as an interpretation:
In Dylan's song , I think, it is partly the attitude of "no one should know that I can be hurt", but in part it is the tenderness of a man who doesn't want his former love being hurt by the thought of having hurt him.
Writing this poem, I tried to get closer to the very tenderness I had mentioned then.

For similarities and differences you might like to check the complete Dylan lyrics on http://bobdylan.com/songs/sayhello.html or on http://www.dylanchords.com/16_bott/if_you_see_her.htm.

That's a poem of love and caring, Tom. I like it.
