Leonard Cohen's music has been such a binding force in the relationship with the woman of my dreams. She is also a poet and musician, surrounding my life with her song. Our relationship began as a professional musical journey that was pulsed by a silent love for one another. Needless to say, we both quit being professional and decided to spend our lives together. Fast forward 5 1/2 years and we are now both living with each other, we created and released a CD with an amazing team of dearfriendmusicians, played a bunch of live gigs, bought a house, she went back to school and graduated Summa Cum Laude, and I asked her to marry me. I was completed when she said "yes". My life will be forever filled with her songs.

We are getting married this June in Mexico. We have chosen Dance Me To The End of Love as our wedding song and her Mom, who has a beautiful voice, is going to sing Hallelujah. Wedding plans have been a challenge. We were having a difficult time deciding where to go on our honeymoon. Since we are getting married in Mexico we thought it makes sense to just stay in Mexico....until to today. I was talking with one of my clients about music and well...Leonard Cohen came up and we both wished that we could have had the opportunity to have seen Leonard Cohen live. After we hung up I Googled Leonard , in a nostalgia kinda way, hoping that maybe there might be some new news. He was just inducted...at least there will be something on Leonard. At first glance I thought it was a spam page so I closed the window. Then the page came up again....LEONARD COHEN WORLD TOUR ANNOUNCED. We all know how exciting that momement was. A second jolt of excitment raced through my body when I thought about the possibilty. A honeymoon in Montreal with Leonard Cohen! Our wedding is June 20-22. How amazing is this? Get married in Mexico, travel on the 23rd and see Leonard on the 24th or 25th or both. I have seen Radiohead in Montreal before and the experience was beyond words. There is magic in that city.

I write this all to you out of pure excitement and joy. I am so happy for Leonard and all of his fans who will be able to celebrate in the midst of his presence. I hope that I am able to purchase tickets to this wonderful celebration before they sell out. I hope that my dream Honeymoon comes true and I am able to celebrate my marraige with Leonard. Oh Please....dance me, dance me to the end of love.

I particularly like the wedding song you chose. We chose Dance me to the end of Love for our dance at our renewal of vows last year. After 30 years we felt it was about time we got married again. This time the way WE wanted.
