I was wondering whether Lizzy had ever played Mornington Crescent. If she hasn't then we'll teach her by playing. I'll start:
Tower Hill

You need a map of the london underground. You can only learn the rules by playing. It is fiendishly complicated, takes a lifetime to learn to play well, and to be honest since Willie Rushden died it has never been played at the highest level. So, go find the map online and try again.

I never realised it was limited to underground stations, I thought it was any street in London. No wonder I always kept grinding to a halt at the Embankment

 ~ well, that counts me out.....didn't recognize the names given for starters  . And here I stood ready with Blueberry Hill.....grrrriiiiiiiiinnnnnd ~ count me out this hand. Got too many other projects going to be hunting down the London underground right now. When I come there, I'll make a list, though.

Swiss Cottage. Unless Nidd has been invoked, in which case I'll take Finsbury Park.

You sly old dog Tim, you know very well Nidd is in effect after a double Hill.

Hi Sarah ~ Welcome to the Forum and to the game started in my "honour"[?]  ~ the U.S. one who hadn't a clue and, of course, wouldn't  . Maybe a woman will succeed in beating these men at their own game, so "You go, girl!" Of course, is Notting Hill Gate an underground station?

Hi Sarah -

Welcome to the forum, and to this very confusing game. I gather that whoever comes up first with "Mornington Crescent" wins, but since there are certain rules that nobody is really sure about, I can't just lightly throw my "Mornington Crescent" in... (So for me the only way to win is not to play.)

I don't care, btw, who wins, but: who's gonna be the most beautiful loser in this game?

Tom
