Like this a lot.
All the bloody crows in our garden can do is chase the smaller birds.
Must try leaving some bananas hanging from the trees. With instructions, of course

Thanks!
I'm going to attempt painting a picture of this (in acrylics). My skills don't go above 'primitive,' but it could turn out to be lively, despite my lack of talent.

Ravens are the Einsteins of bird-dom and didn't need a bit of help figuring out how to peel bananas...But crows are also corvids so they are no dummies. It is fun watching them figure stuff out, so have at it.

I have to keep different spots for different birds. The little flockers (juncos/chickadees/siskins) share my deck rail (diff food) with the Stellar Jays (also corvids). The ravens have a corner of my yard. I'm fortunate to only have a pair (of ravens) otherwise it would be chaos and I'd not be playing 'tower-of-london' with them.

Anyways, maybe with a little manipulation you can get the little birds and crows to live more peacefully in your garden.

ciao,
Laurie

I hope you'll scan and post it when it's done, Laurie. The vivid visuals were so striking when I read it. I originally considered commenting on the dynamic 'primary' colours; but then realized that black and white aren't considered "primary." Still, the stark contrasts are very appealing. It somehow reminds me of Andy Warhol. I'd expect it to translate very well onto canvas, regardless of how you assess your abilities.
