she walks the downward stairs
to leave, i catch her mirrored smile -
a drop of early dew gleams in the spring sun.

Thank you Tom, for that lovely gentle image - it's good to keep in mind what mood/impression we leave behind when we feel crabby and want to say something mean before flouncing off.

... "she" leaves... but only for a while, not for good... and the "I" knows... there will be more... "happiness" - just the beauty of being content with a moment ...
