While it may be beautiful I've enough of this snow. At this rate we will be lucky to get out of Ireland as the airport was closed most of today!

It has being snowing in Sligo today Diana so I'm guessing Lissadell is looking beautiful. While it hasn't snowed here today (yet) we have treacherous compacted snow turned into ice conditions and although taking extreme care I've already fallen once but no serious damage thankfully! I so cannot wait for Vegas on Thursday!!!!!!

It seems that all meet up threads are gradually being moved to a new World Tour 2010 Meet Ups section of the board. I rather think this thread should join it - or better, make its way to Everything Else. It seems to be nothing more than an ongoing socialising thread for people who went to the Sligo shows (with the odd bit of input from people like me who wished they could have gone to the Sligo shows) - rather like the Friends of Red Rocks, which has always lived in Everything Else.

I kinda agree,
but some members of the Forum asked me to keep this thread alive,
partly, I guess, for updates on the on-going saga that is the Lissadell legal action
and also for the proposed "Sligo" reunion, the Tree and the Plaque
I am aware it is a thread that does not need to live and does not need to die,
(btw. thanks to those for keeping this thread alive ),
we can discuss its future and place after Las Vegas
PS. I just noticed it is coming up to 25.000 views so some are interested in what goes on here !!!!.

I'm not suggesting for a minute that the thread should die - just that it is no longer appropriate (if it ever was) to have it live in the World Tour 2010 section of the board. It seems that there is one rule for everywhere else and a different rule for anything to do with Sligo! As I said, I think the mods should move the thread to "Everything Else" as part of their current tidying up activities. After all, legal action re Lissadell doesn't have a lot to do with Leonard's World Tour 2010 does it?

Great, thanks Wendy, found the separate meet up thread, now that it has been moved out of 2010 world tour section.

I would also have to agree with you re: Sligo help for newbies thread. No more help for Sligo newbies is required given that the concert took place five months ago, but it is a handy social thread. I came here for help as I knew it was still active. It looks like 2010 World tour being tidied up to contain concert reports only so chances are the sligo thread will be moved sooner rather than later. Maybe after Vegas and the court decision ? Fingers crossed for Lissadell, hope they kick Sligo Co. Co. ass.

Keep this thread open I say, I find it is a Irish link for us whether you were at Sligo or not. Besides the concert reports I rarely read any of the other links on the forum. Enjoy Vegas Mick, Musicmania et al. Safe journey.
