It's OK, YdF, relax it.

It is a thing to make the proof that somebody who cames to everybody with the mask of friendship is - under the nice guy's guise - a bully that could hurt badly under the belt any time it pleases the bully when the bully can do it without consequences (that the bully thinks), and by doing this proof, avoid other people to be fool and hurt for nothing.

But it is another thing to make fun of making somebody vomits. So please, leave her alone now, in order that that she recovers. You are a game boy, she is so serious at this. Her discourse is delirious now it would be an obscenity you will do, if you continue this.

Just say "word", laugh and goodbye

I haven't had time to read any single thread. But I saw this a few pages back, and I had to laugh. Out loud, in a chuckly kind of way.
"Many Faces and Unsuspecting Guises.
Yep. I guess that's about the size of things as I left them. Seems so long ago...

I'm almost sorry to go on after this, but Ey! Its time to .... cry and laugh and cry about it all again
(sorry LC, to so often borrow your words here and there out of the blue).

You (and everybody) know that I took it from you Laurie! Well. OK. Maybe not everybody knows.

I should use "WORD" (©LaurieAK). That's better. Next time! 8) I just hope you won't have trouble with Bill's lawyers about that.

Welcome back to the Asylum, Linda....are you joining in, again? Or, simply getting a good laugh, out loud, from the "Many Faces and Unsuspecting Guises"?

Actually, not so long ago..., at all. Laurie and Tchoc have been keeping things right up to date, in your absence. Now, perhaps, we can play a game of bridge [yes, I know, an unfortunate term, under the circumstances  ]. Except now, we have YdF shouting from the sidelines, and Bee could still show up at any time, so we may still have to switch over to poker. YdF could referee, if he weren't so biased. Now that I think of it, who's going to be my partner  ?

By the way, lest anyone be confused by Tc's attempt to say 'something' ~ being prepared to join in on the admitted "fun" of others [platforms, platitudes, and scaffolding generously donated by Tc], is not the same as what that convoluted paragraph attempts to speaks to. Anyone with insight would readily see a certain person's clear preference for pleasant exchanges. However, given idiotic, unwarranted, and relentless attacks, writing techniques such as reductio ad absurdum benefit greatly by same 8) . It's been said to "Make the best of a bad situation"...or at least join in on the "fun." Resentment, anger, and pain, along with the surprise, should be kept to a minimum by the initiators, as there are no rescue squads for the ones who who waived those rights when they started the game. Some teammates may rush onto the field, regardless, with their plastic box, First Aid Kits, but it may not be sufficient for the wounds.
You are a game boy, she is so serious at this.
Not serious. Skilled.

However, saying "Word," laugh and goodbye would be a perfect, typecasting exit for several. Now, there's a truly good idea...as long as someone hands Tc a Thesaurus on her way out. I see you all may be awhile, though, struggling with those complex, legal issues over the "Word." No wonder this goes as it does  .

What a shame that pleasantness lurks so far away from these pitiful few.

Always Ready for a Pleasant Chat :)

< * Apologies to self for the edited lines ~ hadn't noticed all those clever postings about the word "Word" ~ and then couldn't leave it as "No one this goes as it does," when I meant "No wonder" ~ which, I might as well reiterate  * >

Tchoc~

Well you seem to have picked up on my secret life. How did you know I would write: WORD and laugh!??! Okay, maybe everybody knows. 8)

Besides, I think if you or any other of the guests have used any of the letters: w. o. r. or d., then the copyright belongs to you too.

Maybe it is closing time. I'm definately no longer waiting for the miracle to come.

ooGybed.
HEY! That's no way to say "Goodbye!" There. That's better.

Yeah, it's time to go, adding to vomit posts, now the sprue posts are going on. ("skilled" to it  )

Maybe she will win Ln to harass me "in gang". Who knows?

It is schoolgirls practices that I even did not do in school when I was a girl. Now as a woman I find it annoying to the utmost. So...goodbye (too)! :D

In two WORDS:

No Shit.

And what makes it worse (yes, it gets worse) is that she does this on the state of Florida's dime all day long. Children learn quickly what they can get away with.

Word,

 Aha~! The duo deems each other Conscientious  ... Aware  ... Conscious  ... Peaceful  ~ paragons of 'Enlightenment' ~ yet, startles when Lizzy rightly calls herself Skilled :D . Ironic, your reaction, when you see it comin' back atcha  . My, my ladies...let's think about this a minute. No, never mind ~ you must first be able to hold a thought, unrelated to your own inflation, for that long.

Tee-Hee ~ Tchoc.....I really, truly did not engage "in gangs," in teams, in cliques, in school ~ nor do I as an adult [the real definition of adult, not your play one]. Here's the mirror. < * Lizzy hands Tc the mirror, makes sure Tc looks directly into it * > You've slipped since becoming Adult ~ and your finding it "annoying to the utmost" may simply indicate some self-loathing, that may warrant follow-up with YdF. Sometimes, a sudden departure will work, as well....that, and a cessation of the behaviours.

Laurie ~
"You don't know me from the wind
You never will,
you never did"
Wrong, again. Not at work. However, I note you're busily "Managing" things. Setting your own hours, of course. As for my job [when I'm there], my work gets completed, on time, and correctly. Time Management. If debts were ever to be paid, the State owes me many dimes 8) . Perhaps, you're just getting fed some info ~ a few other clues, on that possibility, have already surfaced  , but could be just coincidence. Such is life, either way.

< * Lizzy gently takes mirror from Tc, hands it to Laurie, and makes sure she looks directly into it * >
This will get you started, Laurie. I'll sign off with this dedication to you. Just hold on, a room should open up for you soon.
Give me back my broken night / my mirrored room, my secret life / it's lonely here, / there's no one left to torture / Give me absolute control / over every living soul / And lie...

Yes, I considered leaving out a few of the eye rollers, but each word just insisted, when they heard to whom they were being referred. Words have feelings, too. It's not all about me, you know; my Words matter, too. Stability, of course, isn't measured by emoticons, but the ideas and thoughts and connections we express. But, I can understand, at your age, your confusion on that. It really does become more complex, but you have plenty of time to learn that. You're still being too easily led by whoever PM'd you on that false notion. But that's okay. You're young.

Okay, now on to your arithmetic, I give you a Biiiiiig Ooooooooo. Your math skills are definitely getting better, little Laurie. You're into your 10s to 20s, and are showing progress ~ you know how to add the 1 to the 10 and come up with 11. Excellent :D !

We adults, though, just call them emoticons. It's okay to hold on to it, for now, but as time goes on, you'll just look silly[er]. People expect it at the age you are now, but later, you'll have to drop the ies and just add s. We'll get to that later, though, in your Spelling and Grammar class. For now, let's keep going on the numbers....okay, 10 plus 2 more equals...?

When we get to Spelling and Grammar, though, you might want to try your little act again there ~ yeeeessssssss, yoouuuu know the one, little Laurie ~ "Word!" Disappear.

As a matter of fact, I knew someone once, a performer and magician, who traveled with the Renaissance Faire. Magical Mystical Michael. He had made t-shirts that said, "Be Nice or Disappear." I loved that. Still do. Got the t-shirt.

OK. I see, now. It is not to put things straight at all, it is a baboon's fight. Well those things happens. It's life.

As I invited you two (respectfully) to take care of your problem in private and you obviously did not, well, I guess it will be of no use to ask it again.

Well, girls, it is Christmas time, try not to be too much as a bitch one with the other.

For me, I prefer to laugh about it for good.

Yes, I know, Tchoc, you always keep yourself out of that mix, but Laurie has nothing to work out. She's having fun. She keeps coming back for more. I might call it something other than that, in her case, but that would get into psychological terms. Be careful who you're calling a "baboon" and "bitch," though ~ I'm neither one; and Laurie may get upset with you next. For me, it's a writing exercise < * practice practice practice * >.

As for posting the cartoon ~ Must be that Conscientious Aware Conscious Peaceful Enlightened image of yourself you want to portray to the world, at this juncture of closing time. Patterns are patterns. Can't switch horses in the middle of the stream, citing respectful invitations < * to others of course  * >, privacy, setting things straight, and all, as though you were merely an observer.

As for the cartoon, itself ~

YdF ~ Think twice before you offer Laurie more batteries  .

Merry Christmas  !

Just for laugh "with" you not "of" you, again.

"Life in a baboon troop is similar to life in modern human society, says Sapolsky. Like baboons, most humans enjoy comparatively soft lifestyles. We rarely have to fight for survival or flee from predators. But we still retain the primitive fight-or-flight response. That mechanism is activated, instead, to deal with the Solomons--and the Angelica Pickles--of the human world.

What is a picked-on, downtrodden human to do? Make like a friendly baboon, says Sapolsky. Develop a social network to comfort you in difficult times. Rethink the competitive approach. In the long run, you'll wind up with less anxiety and better health."

Seems to me a nice place to "wind up less anxiety and better health" :
