Sorry if this has already been covered in this thread. I have flicked through and read lots of bits of

"such a pity leonard didn't include...."

Just as far as I am concerned I am very happy. Hearing "the Darkness" at Lille last year, was one of the best few minutes of my life. I know that maybe sounds corny, but it is truly so.

So ... I am happy, and I am sorry if you don't all feel so but all good things anyway.

A small, but exciting, detail to add to the new album news. Last night I attended Jennifer Warnes' concert in Edmonton. Jennifer was in terrific form and gave us an unforgettable evening of great music and stories. During the show she mentioned that she had been recording 'recently' with Leonard Cohen, saying that the results will appear on his new album, due next year. On the other hand she did not mention her own recent recording sessions or new album, so I imagine that is still some way off.

Anjani's new post on facebook (her answer for a fan's question: "Love the music you and Leonard have been creating together...and soooo looking forward to the new CD. Can you remind us again of the target date?")

Anjani: "we plan to put it out soon after Leonard's next release, early 2012. btw, i think it's one of his strongest records ever, including a gorgeous cover of Crazy To Love You, one of my fav songs off of Blue Alert."

great news

Leonard will be spoiling us with his new album! After so many years, Jennifer Warnes was back
in the studio with Leonard, and she is singing on one of the tracks.
Anjani and Sharon both have significant roles in many of those ten new songs. What a team!

Is it a metaphore, or an exact number? :)

It just keeps getting better .. a Leonard Cohen "cover" of a Leonard Cohen song previously recorded by Anjani! And Anjani and Jennifer Warnes and Sharon Robinson all confirmed to be involved with the album.
