What the hell is a trig? Great photos Diane but i think that wide lens thingy, makes us all look fatter than we are :)

And yes I am drinking wine... I don't have to be up for work :)

Lol. I have no memory of that ... It was that Welsh beer, even stronger than Irish and so much cheaper, so 'tis easier to drink a lot :)

I hope my recital was ok? I think the bruise will look worse in Barcelona lol. Where is the time going? i cannot believe I am packing again.

You were on top form, Bernie. Mambo was pretty good too.

I found your bruise and I'll email it to you. It looks pretty painful.

Here's a pic of me with Linda, who as you know had never heard any LC until a week ago and loved the event so much she is seriously thinking of coming on other events.

Good morning, I slept for 12 hours last night, I think the mountain climb finally caught up with me. Ah Paulaaaaaaaaaaa... you poor lamb. But you were so brave to ascend the mountain in the train. That is a fab photo of Linda with Diane and that pic of me on top of the mountain with my 2 german escorts is my new screen saver :)

I do love sunsets.
On our first day in Barmouth a number of us went to the Royal Tap in the early afternoon and didn't leave until gone midnight so I missed that sunset.
On the next couple of days we were still struggling down mountains while the sun was setting in Barmouth.
Finally on Sunday night I was able to walk dow to the shoreline and take a few photos.
One thing about sunsets if you miss one there is usually another one the next day:-)

That's a stunning sunset Ken. Everything about Barmouth was perfect.

Dear Ken,

that reminds me of that famous Heinrich Heine poem (with fairly accurate translation by Emma Lazarus for the non-German speakers):

Das Fräulein sand am Meere

Das Fräulein stand am Meere
Und seufzte lang und bang,
Es rührte sie so sehre
Der Sonnenuntergang.

Mein Fräulein! sein Sie munter,
Das ist ein altes Stück;
Hier vorne geht sie unter
Und kehrt von hinten zurück.

She stood beside the ocean

She stood beside the ocean,
And sighed as one oppressed,
With such a deep emotion
The sunset thrilled her breast.

Dear maiden, look more gayly,
This trick is old, thou'lt find.
Before us sinks he daily,
To rise again behind.

See you - and Henning, and Tinds, and all the others I cannot think of right now - in Barcelona!
"You thought that it could never happen / to all the people that you became"...
