A slight bow with my sincere "thank you," Mistreusse :D . The clock is ticking  . You have, nonetheless, honoured Allen in a most appropriate way :D .

Please thank BC for me for his generousity. I guess I really did underrate myself on it, and I'm pleased you enjoyed my distractions :D .

Ai-ai-ai! I was so careless! I missed that we talked about Suzanne! (I thought of BC too much  .) Okay, I’ll have to look at the text. Do we still spy upon her?

My kisses (1000) to our dear Big Chief :D !

Suzanne does not restrict other 'I Spys'.
Use your acquired skills at all times. Perceive with width and vision and be unrelenting in your quest. ( BC said that...not I...he's clever with words)
I think you may have overdone it with the 1000 kisses.
BC seems all perturbed and dis-orientated.
Although he does keep reading Lizzytysh's description of the 'hopeless little screen' with great affection.
You may have blown it with so many kisses. I think 32 kisses would have been the maximum here.. it's all to do with I Spy etiquette.
I'll have a quiet word with him. In the meantime go listen for some boats by the river. :)

Lizzytysh
I passed on your thanks to BC. Once he had orientated himself again he was most pleased. I'm sure you will learn from Helven's faux-pas.

I'm glad BC was amused, Pete, 'cos now I've got a bit of a poser for him. How far back can you go for an I-spy? Some years ago we lived in a house by the Macclesfield Canal. The canal ran behind the houses on the opposite side of the street, and in summer it was possible to 'hear the boats go by' (but not see them). Can I claim points for that, or was it too long ago?

Paula - sorry about the chocs. Hazel may be a nut, but she's not nuts enough to waive her chocolate rights

 Well, please, Linmag, at least let Hazel know that should she ever falter and mistakenly/unthinkingly/blindly waive those rights, she can call on me for representation, and I do take payments in chocolate 8) .

Mistreusse! Please tell Big Chief that I saw Sue'sAnne, tonite, mere minutes ago, in fact ~ in the Chatroom  ~ I only saw her in title form, of course, as she wasn't by the river. Well, maybe she was! I didn't think to ask, but she departed so quickly upon my arrival, who knows......maybe she was already set to walk across the water. Oh, no, that was Jesus, sorry. Well, maybe the water was boiling for her tea. Well, let's face it, I just don't know. However, it was, indeed, a confirmed sighting :D . As to the points allotment, I think viewers, worldwide, see the title more frequently than the lyric ~ so, the title may actually be worthy of more points. Besides, isn't it appropriate, somehow, to start from the beginning? Does 100 feel fair :D ?

~ Mistry Lizzy

Thanks to BC for me....and, yes, I'll indeed take note of Helven's proximity to and behaviour with the Big Chief. Sir, yes Sir! [that's to BC, of course, not to you, My Mistreusse  .....]

I'd be happy for Lizzytysh to have her 250 points if you'd tell me how many points you gave me for MY sighting of the hopeless little screen and explain why it was less than the presently alotted 250?

I see… 1000 kisses… it’s too deep even for Big Chief :? … “Poor, poor Mr. Holmes! He fell to the bottom of the Reihenbach waterfall!” [It’s a quotation from our screening of tales about Sherlock Holmes. It became proverbial here. Excuse me, please, if my spelling of “Reihenbach” is wrong.] But I hope he's doing quite well now! And… yes, Sir, when kindly feelings overfill me again I’ll give my next thousand piece-meals, 32 kisses per day :D ! (Though, I don’t think it’ll occur very soon – I’m too busy now dancing with that guy... “Dance me to the end of love”, I say him.)

And… if my participating is still allowed… today I stumbled out of bed – just “stumbled”, if I interpret this word correctly, as I never “run” out there, “go at a steady gait” or something like that. I even got ready for the struggle – against my computer which recently got the habit of playing some tricks  . And also I smoked a cigarette as it’s one of the first things I do in the morning. The only thing I haven’t done yet is tightening up my gun as I have no gun  .

Aha :!: Now I've read a number of previous postings more carefully. I should say one of them reminds me of something... It seems to me someone who recieved letters from the Land of Plenty could win 500 points - at least 500  :!: :D !!!

 Hi Helven ~ I noticed that my Land of Plenty appeared to go wholly unnoticed, though in my sense, it didn't directly relate to letters...so no BIG score expectations, just an Honourable Mention one. However, since I have gotten a letter from Pete, it would seem not entirely unreasonable that I've gotten a letter from his Land of Plenty, from whence his double negatives derive. However, it would seem I need to write you, immediately, to assist you in your gaining that humongous allotment :D . After all, in this game, as in life, it's got to be the going, not the getting there, that's good 8) .

Tightened up his gun? Isn't it tightened up his belt? Perhaps you're thinking of the rewrite that Phil Spector suggested  . Just stumble [a state rather suggesting lack of control ~ being bleary-eyed, eyes half open, sometimes coming forth with unintelligible rumblings, as it's still too 'early' for any 'real' conversation] out of bed; and put on a pair of pants/slacks with a belt. But, be sure to leave room for tightening it, which you will then do. However, it's 'intended' [ha~! like there's a definitive answer to it  ] as a metaphor for preparing for the day, the outside world, the onslaughts against which one must 'steel' himself.

Dear Jo ~ I won't speculate as to Big Chief's discrepancy in assigning of points. Perhaps Pete will get some kind of decision explanation from B.C. on it. However, I don't begrudge you any additional points :D .

Dear Mistress Elizabeth,

Thank you for the explanations! So far as I can see now I interpreted that “to stumble out of bed” in quite a right way. Oh, yes, all of that is right about me when I get up in the morning  !
But the last characteristic still isn’t about me. The slacks I put on in the morning have no belt which can be tightened up :( . All that they have is elastic. Though, they have also something like a string but I don’t tighten it usually. (Moreover, if the belt must be “his” it can’t be mine. My one would be “hers”.)
And, yes, of curse, I supposed it to be a metaphor, but it was funny enough that today, with that struggle against the computer, it was very appropriate literal description of my morning.

I’ve learned it just today that the Land of Plenty is the U.S.A. ! And thanks for the letter from there :D ! However, as there’s one more, little, Land of Plenty in this world – and in spite of the fact that it’s little it’s even more “legitimate” in a certain sense as it’s written and registered just as “plenty land” – I think you still could get some points having received letters from there :D (if it’s possible to get something for that). Especially since even a return address is specified as “plenty land” there!

I cannot tell a lie he was calling not singing so 2 points it is, so I now have a grand total of 17
Yesterday I saw the future twice! Scottys future & Ryans future runners in the 2.40 @ Lingfield the race was won by Last tango pity it wasn't a waltz.
I have just tidied up my kitchenette and earlier this evening I was waiting at the traffic jam. Does Linmag have a point on how long ago the I spy was.

Ahhhh......you're right!!! I wasn't aware of that! Yes, Big Chief, I have indeed gotten letters from the Land of Plenty......and plenty of them, so it lives up to its name, there!!! ~ points :D ?

 You're right on the His & Hers belts  !!!

~ Lizzie

Oh, how funny, altinkum, with their names.....from the Futures to the Last Tango. I think you're due DOUBLE points on the Futures! Alas, however, I'm not the one who assesses. Perhaps, BC will take the unlikelihood of seeing two future, concurrently, into account ~ I hope so!!!

I've just returned from an emergency meeting with BC.
I'm afraid I lost my temper with him :x
I told him. I told him straight.
'How could you miss the 1000 kisses??' I shouted at him.
'They weren't very deep!', he whimpered.
I said, 'but didn't you spot the significance of 1000?, damn you'
He didn't like the damn you bit but I was forceful on behalf of Helven.
'She should have said deep. She should have said deep!', he cried uncontrollably.
'And you let me tell her 32 kisses!!!', I replied in a controlled yet fearful way.
'What shall we do Pete?. Tell me. What shall we do?'
'I'll get us out of this mess. Accept the 1000 kisses whether they be deep or not'
BC sat quietly and pondered his I Spy book. He looked down and nodded nervously.
'I think we can get away with it otherwise our scheme will be undone'
'Don't let anyone hear you say that BC. We have too much to lose', I said with an air of authority that hung in the air like a hawk spying it's prey on a cold, calm winter's morning just like last Wednesday.

BC looked up and his stare met mine. I could sense our common origins surfacing in a upheaval of emotion.
I wanted him to say 'Thankyou for all that you have done. Don't let them see me like this. Be my protector and I will make you a Big Chief'
He didn't say those words. He didn't even say any combination of them.
His eyes narrowed and the whimpering turned into anger.
'What about Jo??', he asked in a questionable way that demanded a truthful response that would help maintain my position as his right hand man. I tried to act innocent.
' I know not what you ask'
'What about Jo?', he repeated, ' the hopeless little screen '
'Don't call Jo a hopeless little screen', I tried.
BC's stare caused me to consider my position which was now bent double in apology. I didn't think he had noticed my one and only error. He believed me to be faultless but now I had been found out.
'But Lizzytysh's wonderful description of the hopeless little screen was so wonderful that the wonder of it was wonderous ', I tried,'I didn't spot Jo's until it was too late and I prayed that it would go unnoticed'
'You are dealing with Jo here. You should have realised. I am disappointed in you. Jo is not to be messed with. SORT IT!'
'Yes sir', was the only reply I could muster, yet it sufficed just like a hawk being sufficed after it has eaten it's prey on a cool, stormy morning just like last Friday.
'I'll sort it', I whimpered..
'AND DON'T FORGET THE POINTS FOR ALL THE OTHER I SPYS WHICH HAVE COME IN TODAY', BC bellowed.
'Yes sir'

I saw a war between the ones who say there is a (justified) war and the ones who say there isn't.

And every day I see the poor stay poor and the rich get rich...

Priceless-perfect humour, Pete. I loved it  . I don't give a damn about the Truth.....well, except the Naked Truth. Have I been stripped of any of my points for sharing with Jo, or have you raised the ante and brought her up for the winning of her own :D ? Uhm. I believe citing of the sighting of Sue'sAnne was yours and BC's 'last night' vs. 'today,' as well, but I'm confident it won't be forgotten  ~ no matter. That's right, don't mess with Jo.....she's tougher than Bill. And she's my 'bud' ~ so take that into account when remembering not to forget my citing of sighting. I'd sure hate to have to call her for backup with B.C.

8)

 Pete, I think you could demand some special, premium points from Big Chief since you contact with him so much and this work is so hard, as I see now!

Oh, I was afraid those 1000 kisses were too deep and it turned out that they weren’t deep enough! Hmmm… won’t we try again?.. later…
