I envy you guys who have seen him last night and will see him during the next weeks. I must wait until July 21st when I see him in Nice.
Anyway, thank you to everybody for the information, the video, the pictures. It makes the wait so much more exciting.

Couldn't agree more!
I'm thrilled to hear Leonard and the band ventured away from cookie cutter renditions of every song...a sign of true artistry!

I hope they continue to do so,I welcome the inclusion of interpretative renditions.

Can't wait for the Kitchener and Hamilton shows!

The concert in Nice is on July 22nd (I suppose it's better for you to think it's a day earlier than a day later...). :-)

Fredericton Performance May 11, 2008

Post by DebS »

Some moments simply take your breath away! Leonard Cohen's performance in Fredericton last night did just that. With spontaneous standing ovations throughout the performance, it was evident that everyone in the audience was deeply moved by what they saw and heard. The sound of the music played by the band was indescribably brilliant; and the ethereal tone of the ladies' joined voices was magical. Leonard was witty and charming and superb - a true unique poet for our generation; and the voice......nostalgia, discovery, and observer/participant of all that is beautiful and sad - truly ageless. You need to hear it for yourselves! It was absolutely beautiful and we were all transfixed - thank-you.

Hi

I am looking forward to going to leonard cohen in Dublin in june and if he plays the set list as mentioned above i will be very happy. he has so many songs that no matter what he plays , there will always be one or two that you would have liked to hear.

He can't play all the songs, and i do hope he doesn't change it too much.

looking forward to see the legend in Ireland

Thank you so, so much everyone for the reports, the comments, the links...I have been laughing, crying and finding it almost impossible to contain my excitement. A while yet before I get to see him (Manchester) and my appetite hardly needed whetting. I'm on cloud eleven just anticipating.
