A long time ago, before there were tulips in Holland, Dr. Allan Showalter has asked me how do I prefer to be introduced to his audience. He said, "Are you Hermitage Hero?" — "I think, I'm Hermitage Prisoner", was my answer. I've studied in the Hermitage for a decade, since being a pupil till my studenthood, and it's not just an essential part of my education, but also something that has shaped, among other factors, my mentality.

Thanks to Hartmut for asking the question about the derivation of "Hermitage Prisoner" and to
Roman for answering it.

The songs Hartmut listed are, like "Tonight Will Be Fine," good guesses. Still, the sought after
song remains elusive. There's a line in that song that implictly elicits curiosity (in song listeners,
and, because of an unknowing that the line speaks of, presumptively in those present for the
unnfolding of the song's events). The "seizing" element of "carpe ," in the context of this
thread's question, really touches upon being fully present for the "noctem." Curiosity can
be a prerequisite for presence. Failing to have it, people can miss thngs altogether.
