Can somebody bring a guitar? ! Secretchord? It doesn't take much to get LC fans singing LC songs (or even Tremeloes or just about anything else as I recall). Second thoughts I guess we might get thrown out of city-centre pubs/restaurants if we pipe up like that. I'd suggest appropriate attire to be a wetsuit and snorkel.

Secretchord - make yourself known to us on the day and you can be our Pied Piper.

Diane, if you're wearing wetsuit and snorkel, I'm having your name removed from the guest list. Is this your normal attire for a European Art launch?

Well, Damellon I'm not a very strong swimmer, and most of the north of England is under water at the moment, but after such a threat I have just binned the wetsuit  . I always behave with the utmost decorum, you can rest assured.

Diane - I could bring a guitar, but I can't play it. Can you?

I used to have a pair of flippers and two (2) yes two (2) face masks, but one fell off and three of the remaining four (4) shrivelled through lack of use. If I could remember which was which it would help. Anyway, the last time I went to the swimming pool I had great difficulty moving my feet on account of the mask's strap catching on my big toe. Fortunately I hadn't taken either of my two guitars, which was a blessed relief. I shall show the same 'decorum' on Sunday. 8)

I think we should all wear hats with our names printed on bands wrapped around the brims, like Dolores does. Although she always has 'Cohen' on her hat and she doesn't fool anybody. She always looks like Dolores. She speaks German like a native.

There's to be no messing next Sunday between 5 and 7. Let's treat this with the gravitas it deserves. Bring the credit cards/cheque books/Sugar Daddies and Mummies - whatever it takes to make this a night to remember. Messing mandatory after 7. All back to Chester for the afterhours hooley. Rock on Byron.

Anything????!!!! woohooo!!!

By the way, Alber has broken out in a mass of blotches and we thought it was truly serious, but the genuine 'Vet' in wickedbaedia, said it was a teddy bear version form of 'measles' called 'beesles'. Do you know if this is to be beelieved? Or should Alber send you a bm? (Where the hell does the apostrophe [quotation mark] go after 'beesles'? Before or after the full stop....rhetorical question)

Sounds to me like poor Alber’s symptoms are psychosomatic. Are you sure you haven’t overworked and exploited him? Did you force him to come to Hydra? I’m told you are the Simon Smith of the Peak District – outrageous, alarming, courageous, charming…….

Alternatively, you could be in a bit of a panic, and this could be a cunning ruse to deter us from descending (with kilts flying and shamrocks wilting and wetsuits clinging) on 1 Theodore Roosevelt Terrace, Chester (oops) on Sunday night.

Have you been rumbled, Byron?

PS.Who needs money when you’re funny? Are you buying on Sunday?

Georgie is a good pianist, but have you ever heard (of) Floyd Cramer?
