Lizzy,

You are projecting your own infatuation onto the rest of the female race. Please don't do this.

What are you on about, YdF? You were so excited to get that comment out that you forgot male and female are genders, not races. Now, what is it you're wanting to say? I see. You mean about the sexist-jealousy thing? Well, I know it may seem sexist, but since Leonard's a male, it's more likely that men might feel a certain kind of nondescript jealousy. However, it's not my own projection. I've had conversations with members of this race, to which you refer. There really have been a number of cases where their significant other seemed to be a tad discontent with their continuous and continuing interest in this Leonard voice and words that favour the female form and being. I've not seen nor heard of many women registering complaints regarding their significant other's interest in this Leonard voice and words.

Soylen Green was an amazing movie. If you want to picture unconsciousness, it is a good one.

Here are quotes from the link about psychic vampires in relation with what you said.

"Many Faces and Unsuspecting Guises.
As already noted, psychic vampirism comes in a variety of unsuspecting guises. We see it all to commonly between individuals as one-on-one vampirism, but feeding on the energies of another person is only one of its many forms. For instance, anyone who exploits a lover, spreads malicious rumors, ruins a reputation, or betrays a trusted friend is a psychic vampire.

On a much broader scale, psychic vampirism can occur in a vicious, collective form as sometimes seen among organizations that feed on prejudice and hate, or corporations that blatantly vampirize their employees through deception and greed. Narcotics trafficking, organized crime, and so-called "ethnic cleansing" along with discrimination based on age, race, gender, or sexual orientation are examples of collective psychic vampirism on an alarming scale. In its most widespread collective form, psychic vampirism can exist at a global level. Reckless pollution of the environment, irresponsible disregard for endangered species, and exploitation of the globe's natural resources are examples of global vampirism that affects everyone and literally puts the future of the planet at risk.

Finally, it may seem hand to fathom, but psychic vampirism can occur in a self-contained, parasitic form that turns inward to feed upon oneself. In that internal form, the person ironically becomes both vampire and victim. Examples are such flagrant consumers of our energies as phobias, obsessions, and compulsions that can hover over us like monsters waiting to devour us."

(...)
"One of the great teachers of all time summed up the power of knowledge this way: "You shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free. "Knowledge remains perhaps the most powerful force in the universe. Among our greatest challenges is finding new knowledge and applying it to empower our lives while making the world a better place for all. Who could argue with that?"

So maybe the persons who "walked away" from that game are not the worst people in this story, like people who walked away form a bar where a joyous gang of drinking people stand, who are going nowhere in life, "lost souls". It may be fun to come and waste time in leasure, but to past entire life doing nothing but hurting people out of surges of unemployed/misemployed creativity, well.... better not stick around a place or game like that. And not give too much power to those fellows who you said are "cruel", this because they are not conscious of the harm they are doing. Too bad, because conscious or not, someday they will have to face the engerny they are generating. Would you let your 5 years old niece drive your car? Its the same thing. You have the power or not giving allmighty on your emotional life like that to anybody. This energy that you save, you can use in action if you choose to fight what you think is wrong.

Anyway.

(Am I lecturing now?? :D

It is you who are writing here. I can just feel how hurt you still are. I did not want to silent you, just to say that I'm care and also maybe, do something in this regard to avoid you more pain, because sometimes, emotion feeds itself like a snowball, and only to stop that, calm down can "wash away" bad emotions. I don't want to tell you what to do. Do what you feel is the best. If the best for you right now is to express anger, go one! I prefer to see you express anger then to see you turn you anger on yourself and feel depressed.

Just don't forget :

quote from the vampire link again :

"There is only one way to protect ourselves from vampires: recover the love for ourselves and focus on the light that lives within us, where there is no room or shelter for the shadows."

Pas adieu : "à plus". :D

Hi YdF ~

Your headhunting is finally over. The two assistants you've been seeking have finally confirmed.

Over 18.
Terminally Conscious.
Female.

They're out-of-pocket at the moment, however. Determinedly clawing and scaling, leading and seconding one another, to the top of their ivory tower. The inside stairwell rotted, so they had to take the outside route; but they should still be there soon. Then, I promise you, after they've chimneyed this one, they'll be rappelling their way to you ~ well, if they don't get hung in their ropes, of course. I can't be held responsible for their skill levels. It's a quest they've never given up on, so if they're late to report for duty, just understand. Or, make arrangements.

If they make it, though, they bring the team spirit you've been seeking. You'll be pleased at their amazing awareness, of each other. It's the two-sided mirror you've been looking for. Just be sure you always keep them close at hand, with one another, for belaying at will. They're each others' bolts, you know, and need to remain in close proximity for their white light to glow. No one's figured out, yet, how their emissions cast bloodlike patterns on the wall, but at least it keeps them happy. You'll just need to be cognizant of that and let them share a cubicle. As you know, we call these "work accommodations" here.

Other than that, you'll soon be calling them your Diligent Duo for short. You'll probably want to register them under Diligent Duo of Anti-Non-Aware-Entity Awareness and give them name tags, though, just to be sure you can distinguish them in a crowded room. They've worked so hard to get where they're at. Please be mindful of that. Be kind, if you can. They haven't received much in their own lives, so they're on a steep learning curve. If you have trouble with it, yourself, I think there's a man/ual somewhere around here.

In closing, just be mindful of the one who has the proclivity for ascending to condescension altitudes, once someone invokes the vision for her. You'll know her by her role-playing of "That was my intention all along" and "Ah! I recognize me ~ I'm the superior one...right?;" and her co-opting of others' relationships, to determine issues of behaviour forgivability and assign appropriate outcomes. Her resume states she competed in the "Ms. Truly-Together Forever ~ Blinding White Light" pageant and came in third runner-up; but I heard through the grapevine she still keeps her framed certificate hung in the vestibule. You may need to put in some overtime.

You'll be able to rely on the other one to guide the role-player toward better ways to present herself, though. She's been doing it periodically for some time, and the role-player responds appropriate to command. The only danger is they tend to get rather circular with each other, so work stoppage may become an issue for you. So, I guess you may want to keep an eye on both.

If you have any questions, don't hesitate to ask. I know you've been needing extra help for a long time. I hope this doesn't turn out to be a negative-retention situation for you; but the headhunters really believe they've made a good match this time.

Best of luck in your new endeavours. If they show up, wish them the same, as well. If not, well, please send me the newspaper clippings for our files.

For your convenience, I've attached [above] the Curriculum Vitae submitted to our agency by the leader of the two. The letter attached to it stated that due to the nature of their duality, she could assure us that this was fully representative of them both; and, although she knew it was not the norm to submit one Vitae for two people, she thought that doing so best represented the nature of their relationship, and would stand as a reliable sign of things to come, so she hoped we would understand and simply make a xerox for the follower's personnel file. Hopefully, it's still relevant. You, of course, won't know for sure until Monday morning, so please stay in touch. If it should become necessary, you know we are willing to start this search all over again. Always willing to assist.

Regards,
You Know Who

Hey Tchoc~

Yes. I will let the lunatic run the asylum unencumbered. This is really what it all comes down to.

One of my many personality flaws is the the inherent need to want to "fix" things. And I am 'management' 8) making the combo a recipe for stubborn diligence.

I appreciate the thought and energy you have put into this matter.

You have mentioned a couple of times that my feelings were hurt. That is really not the case beyond the initial incredulity that I felt when I would read SL's venomous posts back in the October melt-down. What occured was that I was informed. Enlightened really, to the level of d/anger this person revealed to be willing to use, at any cost. It put me into protective mode for myself and others...

My energy has been displaced elsewhere for some time. Mostly towards my upcoming trip to Italy in March. It's all good 8)

Peace and continued Awareness,
Laurie

Dang it, Laurie ~ You had to leave two edited lines behind, too, didn't you? You know how important it is to keep the asylum calm.

I'm so glad that Tchoc was able to offer you a new vision of yourself, including bonus, buzz words, and new, enlightened sign-off. You leave just, well, glowing.....something akin to radiation, in fact.

I'm sure Leonard won't mind your misappropriation of his signature term "informed" ~ he's a kind man. As for your role of protection for others, you can remove that from your daily, "To Do" entries of your Day Timer, Monthly Planner. There just doesn't seem to be much of a market for your services, going by your Grand Opening celebration and initial introduction. Friendship still intact, despite your best "management" decision. Forgiveness where you deemed it ought never be. Some of the most profound sharing has happened since, in fact. Imagine. Perhaps, your attendance at a "management" seminar is best, before you go to Italy...one addressing topics such as "Power and Control," "Enlightened Managers and Employees," "Issues of D/angerous Denial," "Achieving True Peace and Awareness," and "Zen and the Art of Achieving Continuing Awareness."

This is your fourth, fifth, what[?], final departure? Enjoy Italy and take lots of pictures. Try some rock climbing while you're there, just for old time's sake; but do not attempt it on your own. Remember ~ Rule #1 ~ the Buddy System. Rule #2 ~ What works for the Rocks, will work for the Towers. In the end, however, the Leaning Tower, there, is the best analogy for your examination.

We really are a friendly group here in the Asylum. Be sure to stop back sometime, when you have something different to say.

~ Lizzy

So we are sharing this flaw. Though I try now not to fix things that are not mine as far as possible. (Anyway I have my arms full with things that are mine).

I'm glad you take time to inform me that you are not hurt. Thanks G_d. It is not because you were not hit. Your hard words lead me to think that you still have some anger to express. So... as I said... (I hush 8) ).

I wish you big success in what you are doing, whatever it is. Lucky Lady who goes to Italy in March! Hope you'll come back here in full shape. Before. :)

But Ey!

Well, there we go again. Two seems to be the magic number. Two posts. Two buddies. Two edits. Two edits on each of the two posts on the two buddies...

...and all for me, too, wanting to "fix things." However, instead of thinking I'm, or at least trying to play, G~d and "fix" people, I just humbly try to fix my grammar. Such an unEnlightened endeavour, I know, when the world is filled with people needing managing and fixing.

One must remember, of course, that with the Self-Proclaimed, Enlightened Few, a flaw is never really a flaw, but rather a highly [gotta be "highly" because we're talking Enlightened]-esteemed character trait.

I express my appreciation to the other twin, for confirming that "I need a hug" was, as far earlier noted, not an expression of anything akin to hurt or pain [see recent denial above], but merely a manipulation, Soylent Green style [see above text on psychic vampirism]. The truth does, eventually, win out.

Nah, Tchoc ~ No anger. Don't be silly, girl. This is the unconditional love and acceptance [okay, the unconditional love and wanting to "fix"] of the [okay, the conditional love and wanting to "fix"] of [okay, the unconditional condescension and wanting to "fix"] of the Enlightened in Peace and Continued Awareness.

But, as you say, Ey!

Looking Forward to a Future of Fixing People, I remain,
Humbly yours,
in Grammar Fixing,
Lizzy

Hey Tchoc~

This must be sounding like our own personal blog. Can't have that!! 8)
Jarkko puts up with so much already.

I'll be around.
Yeah, luck and a bit of skill (and a free miles ticket to Rome!) will have me sipping the vino at the source. I just bought tickets for an opera at Teatro La Fenice. Like I said, good things much out weigh the nonsense buzzing around like a pesky fly. I'll quit swatting it.

Like I said, you have made some really good points. Your input has been much appreciated.

arrividerci and salute~!

Laurie ~

Enlightened people should not plagiarize others' analogies. I used the buzzing mosquito one, already, some time ago. Doesn't Enlightenment come with memory? The fly is just one off. Please refer to your Enlightenment Manual in the future. Everything you're saying, and the way you're saying it, is just so.....geez, laurie, so Unenlightened that I'm forced to use a lower-case l.

Perhaps, one day, one of the people you "fix" will also be able to fly with "free miles" and "sip vino" at the "source" and go see an "opera." Thank heaven you have Enlightened activities worthy of you.
I'll be around.
For the umpteenth time, you've spoken untruths. You just got through saying you were leaving, again ~ "to let the lunatic run the asylum unencumbered" ~ don't you know, aren't you Aware of how tiresome these repeated goodbyes are? Of how, in your Enlightened state, you should not being speaking untruths?
"Your input has been much appreciated."
Now, there's an understatement  .
arrividerci and salute~!

I'd remind you, at your age, it is time to grow up, but realize it is futile. So nevermind.

You are so right, Laurie ~

On this, we can agree on your "Awareness." Your well-intentioned, Enlightened reminder would be futile. If I have my way, I will stay "Forever Young." Even childish will do. As long as it means not having to deal with "Adults" such as you.

I would be remiss, however, if I did not pass along my Shadow Self's thanks to you. She said she had been feeling frightfully neglected for a very long time, but she wants you to know how much she appreciates getting some exercise these past few months. Dormancy can just be soooooo boring, she says. I wouldn't know. But, she insisted ~ "If you see Laurie..." ~ I've fulfilled my promise and she'll be happy.

So nevermind, now, and run along to the opera...

Thoughts to self:

< * practice, practice, practice * >

< * I know I said I'd start tomorrow, which is now today ~ but thank heaven I'm not one of those Enlightened Ones, so I can be mortal in my transgressions * >

What are you on about, YdF? You were so excited to get that comment out that you forgot male and female are genders, not races.
Not at all. I was using dramatic license. Only a pedant would have used gender.
Well, I know it may seem sexist, but since Leonard's a male, it's more likely that men might feel a certain kind of nondescript jealousy.
I hate to bust your delusional balloon but nobody's jealous of Leonard. You may be as infatuated as you please...it doesn't bother me a bit. In fact, I hope Leonard marries you. And moves to Florida. And leaves a hanging chad in the next closely contested Presidential election thereby ensuring another Republican in the White House. So there.

That was the best you could do with "dramatic license"? Oh, my, Ydf ~ do keep your day job. Even if you're not doing so well there, at least you're getting a paycheck. Your prospects elsewhere don't look good.

 So there!?! That's it!?! Your own, impotent fantasies? As for the potential jealousy issues surrounding Leonard, amongst some of the more insecure of your male species [how am I doing so far, with this "dramatic license" thing  ?], you'll just have to become more astute in your observations. Of course, the back-up of being a female would help, too  . You didn't know that some men can't stand for their wives and girlfriends to oooh and aaah over celebrities on TV or in the movies. In some non-descript fashion, they feel threatened [uhmm, as in 'jealous']. Didn't know that? Is your certification up for renewal?

Well, all this drama requires an intermission  , but with all that's been surely proven, in this very posting, I feel confident in signing off,
Your very own Drama Queen,
Lizzy
