please accept my apologies, as some of my posts have given you the impression I'd be "trolling" you. It seems we've misunderstood each other quite a lot. I'll take the blame for large parts of it; I should have expressed myself more clearly.

Let me state it explicitely once and for all: I always appreciated your input to the discussions both on Leonard and non-Leonard topics. Many times I could simply agree, with or without saying so. In some cases I felt I had to add a different shade to what you had stated.

But even where I don't agree: "Dad" is not always right. Neither am I. But if I am convinced of something, I'll state it as "well-considered truth". Maybe I'm wrong; please prove me wrong, then. Or just state your case. That's what discussions are for, to approach truth from different directions.

I can give up positions I've arrived at, when there is a good point against them. I've done that in the past, and I'll do that in the future. I abandoned about half of what I considered to be the truth when I was 35 over the last ten years. And should I find that more than 50% of my current positions will still be held a decade from now, I'd ruffle myself for not having learned properly.

There was never a thought of you being an outsider. Or a newcomer. In fact it seems you've been around here longer than I: your four years as opposed to my meagre two... And I always welcomed newcomers, by the way. (At least I did before some trolls put every genuine newcomer under suspicion of being one more screen name of a well-known troll.)

Maybe in future exchanges we can evade some of the traps of misunderstanding. I'll try. That doesn't mean, I'll succeed. We're not infallible, or are we?

About newcomers - Tchoco, I never was at any Event, and about trading - most trading is done outside of this forum. If you wanna trade, then you must used many other peculiar sites and google (of all people I traded, nobody is regular visiter here than our Hanna from Poland, and she comes very rarely also - the interchange with Margaret or Jarkko is more like exchanging the gifts). So, I don't know any of you in flesh except Jurica. So, I wasn't there on any beginning (if there was a beginning). In any case, I think there are about ten persons who are very regular here, and which I feel like I meet everyday, and you're surely among them

And there's a fact that I owe such package to Lyzzie more than 1,5 year now... I will not deliver it personally to you, lyzzitish, on Hydra after all...

I have to do fast again, I'll be short, then. Yes Tom S, your are right, to talk about a problem permits to solve it. To hide a problem only make it bigger and bigger and worse. Unclear things are clears now, at last : when sky/communication is clear, nagivation is smooth. (Like after rain).

Tom d. I appreciate you to be there, here, as well as your honesty and modesty (I mean I must be the most foggy of the two of us, if not of the whole board in some posts of mine.). The past misunderstandings, now will lay in the closed file. I will certainly not open it myself. In my experience, clarifying misunderstandings just leads to less and less misunderstandings, just more and more better communication.

Jurica, I have to put a possible misundertanding straight too, it seems. I do not dislike "at large" the get-togethers - I'm not just a fan of "group travelling" first, and second, I just can not travel at all (unfortunately) presently. I am sure it would be very interesting and pleasant to meet other fans personnaly in a little meeting (I do not like very much to go in big group), they are not reason for me not wanting to participate. I find very nice the magical experiences people had about these events and I wish you many great ones in the future.

Not much "juice" to this "argument", though. Sorry I did not mean to by dry either.

~ That gave me such an image of you, that I'm just certain can't be far from the truth . That's as to how you 'play,' not your normal presence, of course .

Tchocolatl ~ For many, many years, probably all my life, I've felt exactly as you have about large, group gatherings. My greatest preference is one-on-one and, if not that, a small [preferably very small] group. So, I was stunned by my own level of enjoyment when I went to New York ~ and so glad I took the plunge. I still kept the vast majority of my interactions at a one-on-one level [preferences like that don't really change], but WOW, what I would've missed had I allowed my decision, to go, be dictated accordingly. This, of course, is not to suggest that you 'should' change your thinking on the Events for yourself, but hopefully, at some point, when you are able, you'll be open to trying one, just once. Like Lays potato chips, it could end up a matter of, "I bet you can't eat [attend] just one." I would so love to meet you one day.

i'm quite introverted person. i keep as far away as possible from large spectacles, soccer matches, mass concerts, public speaches... i even stay as far away as possible from class reunions, disco clubs, sunday masses...

BUT, i've had great time with a lot of people when we were interested in the same things, and had some purpose i could relate to (trips with my sport club, film festivals, workshops...)

it depends on the occasion. even a hard core "two is company, three is a crowd" like me can sometimes enjoy large groups of people.

I also tend to avoid large gatherings. Family reunions and the like I try to avoid at all costs. When I do attend the larger events, I'm not comfortable as so many of the attendees have no interest in things I have interest in. Therefore, I think a Cohen event would be D Luxe! We all have common ground and we sort of 'know' one another. I think an event of this type would be a wonderful time! Let's hope Berlin comes cheap (ha ha ha ha) The financial burden can be pretty heavy when one has to cross an entire continent just to reach the starting point! Nonetheless, I'm going to try so hard to make it to Berlin - I have a game plan and everything. Now all I need is a big pile of money.
