Hmm, bee, I really don't understand you sometimes. All you say about Jurica, actually describes your reactions in this thread. tom.d. and Insanitor are right this time. Why do you immediately use words like shit, antiamerican, without trying to accept other people's views? And why do you immediately undeappreciate jurica's movie? You did not see it. I did not see your paintings (for now, I hope), but did I say they show Bush under a cross with gun in one hand and "the holy dove" in another, or that you cannot follow the subject? I tried to keep this on level of friendly argument about Tarantino, particularly regarding the fact that we all actaully like his movies, but no way, you did find again all kinds of anti-American and "anti-democratic" tendencies all around, and in your defense of American way and democracy used all kinds of non-democratic words, personal dismissals and the techniques of shutting the other people up

i don't realy know if i like to eat my own shit. i never tried. but you are probably right: it's most likely that i wouldn't enjoy it.
Kush, you probably didn't read the whole thread (who of a sane mind would), so you couldn't know that i was reacting to bee, and therefore no bad feelings here.
funny fact is that i actualy like the first Rambo movie, but don't tell anybody.
now, the fun part:
Jurica was talking dawn on QT, implying that he is the only one who has "discovered" where QT influences come from, the Hong-kong, kon-fu etc. dissing american critics like they didn't know about it at all
nobody needed 'discovering' QT's influences. he always talks about them. i never claimed i was the one to discover them. i never even implied that. i like Coen brothers a lot - and they are the same 'postmodern/influenced' sort of creators.
about dissing american critics, i can only quote myself for the second time:
i'm no expert, and i don't claim to be wiser than all those professional reviewers who adore Tarantino
Then he starts dissing me- offering me to recognize the difference between child's drawings and that of Picasso.
now, as you are a painter, i'm supprised that this offended you. there's another painter friend of mine, Ivana Armanini, who works with children a lot on comic workshops, and she always tells me how kids have some abilities (abstracting the world around them) that school system takes away from them. i always disagree with her on this, since i think that it's due to their poorer comprehension of the world, rather than supreme.
but she is not alone in that. the whole dadaist moovement praised children's concepts.
i disagree with that attitude, and that's what i was talking about.
Then he offers statements about art right out of his conspects from the classes he took at the artschool, which made my stomac turn, then he lectures me about not reading his posts, when he himself is not even able to follow what was the subject on.
???
what clases?
what artschool?
I can only imagine what his animated film was about- americans with torsos like pigs and the heads of horses making chru- chru sounds, that perhaps is his film at the best.
why do you think i'm so obsesed with americans? no americans in my film. nor in my stories, songs, comics... anything. i live in Europe. close to Italy, Bosnia, Hungary, Slovenia, Austria... those are people i mostly meet, and therefore they interest me the most - so i write/film/draw about them.

Tom,
About 5 pages ago I wanted to talk to you about Andrei Rubelev (sp?). I really don't feel like it any more. I'll talk to you later.

this is getting better and better!
just tell me who or what you think linda and Tom want to talk about? Andrey Rubelev the history figure (since you think there is a story to tell)? i'm under impression that you did it again (not reading people's previous posts before answering)...
i know this is low, but i can no longer help myself: when you do portraits, do you LOOK at people you portrait, or you just pain the way you think they should look?

Tom,
I have Andrei Rubelev on VHS (somewhere in a box in the spare room, now). Anyway, it was given to me and I understood that it was supposed to be a very good film. Now, I didn't take film appreciation, so to tell you the truth, I had a very difficult time getting through the first tape. So much so, I didn't view the second. Now, I hear that it is in colour??? That puts a whole new spin on how I felt about the movie in the first place and the director's "point of view". I'm going to dig out the movie, view it again in its entirety and try to see what can see. THEN maybe I'll have something I can add to which you can comment. OK?

Jurica- I thought she was talking about Andrey Tarkovsky film- and in respect to that, she would need a bit of history of the period and also the place of Rublevs figur in art history as well as persona. But since Linda did not pay attention to my offer I'll be quiet as a fish
Actually Jurica- it is not such a bad idea- to paint them the way they should look- Goya did, -look how he painted the royal family- they say that the queen used to be very ugly, but not as ugly as Goya painted her

-is nothing low about it Jurica,

- you can excersice your rights to give me back some

bee, I see you've lapsed back into your alternative personality - the fake honky one I mean. With a generous helping of the other - aggressive and threatening. Maybe instead of calling 911 you should call the mental health triage line, and they will tell you to get back on your meds and maybe have a lie down.
Don't talk about my mother. You don't know her.
You know I am 'humanitarien'??
If you don't like my subject line, then go to the poetry section and read their stuff yourself.

That was an interesting point bee made about Goya painting the Queen of the Royal Family.
If we all wore the face of the person we really are inside, I wonder what we would look like? I hope I would be fairly pretty, just the odd zit.
Linda.

I don't doubt for a second that you would be Linda.
There is a saying "Until you're 30 you have the face God gave you, after this you've got the face you deserve." So, ultimately we all will be wearing the face of who we really are inside I guess.

sweet, I've been thinkin about it -Insanitor and wonderin- did they tie you up to force you to come to this room/thread, where I've been behavin' so bad, that ya would have to commit me?
- nobody did- you came voluntary- so now you are screaming bloody murder

how come?
you could just nicely enjoy the good poems- no , you would not do that- instead you would come over here- pointing you finger at me and telling me - ya can't do this or that? who is asking you? did jurica call out loud- "please dear Insanitor help me out, bee is killing me" - now did he? No, he did not. He was doin' juss what he needs to do , we is havin' a fistfight or whatever-- it is just fine - he c'n manage this, so can I.
>Jeez, you irritate me juss by minute, clearly- mind you' own business
