After concert meet-up

for all those having received my last email with the meet-up info´s. There is an error in the name of the post-concert meet-up place - just cut off the last letter "e" it is

as I said, not a cheap place (see prices on the menu in their link) but at least they guaranteed to be open after the concert .

Hi Andrea.A favour to ask if you dont mind.Due to concert move to Monday we now have to fly into Venice Monday lunchtime.Can you suggest the fastest way to get to Verona from Venice airport.Thanks in advance.Hope to catch up with ya.Trisha from sunny Dublin.

Dear Trisha,

when you arrive in Venice aiport (or Marco Polo or Treviso airport -it is worth for both ) take the bus from the airport to MESTRE, which is part of Venezia but on landside.
From Mestre take a train to Verona (direction Milano , Torino)
The Eurocity or Eurostar trains are more expensive but fast (1 hour) and a very good conncection . The local trains R (regionale) take a lot of time (also 2 hours and more ) and are not so good.

It is important you have a valid train ticket, on the train it costs a lot of penalty.

Looking forward to meeting everyone in Verona.

Any tips on best transit from Rome to Verona?
There will be 4 of us travelling.
(Only 2 of use with LC tickets though)

Hi Linda,

the weather should be ok looking at the meteo preview. Lets keep the fingers crossed.

From Rome take the train, there is a FRECCIA train ,very fast from Rome to Verona (ca 4 hours).

Hi all Verona forum members,

all the meet-ups are confirmed as on the email all the registered people have got.
For those not having registered in time, it is only possibile to join the pre-concert meet-up and the post-concert meet-up on monday 24th sept.

Sorry but it is too late to join for the other gatherings, I had to confirm the exact participants tody , so all who have registered please do come. I did guarantee for you all and I will be obliged to pay for the people I have ordered, as the quantities will be prepared on that amount.
So again, please, all registered people do come to the meet-ups you have applied for, thanks for comprehension.
Everybody got the list and knows for what having registered for .
See you soon in Verona, we ordered the sun, lets hope it works .

More suggestions: nice bars (Osterias) except the places were we meet are :
several bars in Via Sottoriva (behind Sant Anastasia church )
Mondo d´oro- vicolo tre Marchetti (behind shop ZARA in shopping street Via Mazzini)
Osteria Monte Baldo (Mount Baldy) - via Rosa (near Piazza Erbe) but you will find more around
there are many many bars....
A good treat to eat (easy for vegetarians) is BREK in Piazza Bra where we have the pre-concert meet-up (self service - only inside, if you seat outside it is service restaurant and more expensive)
and many nice and small typicals osteria´s /pizzeria´s.


Marco and I went today again to all places to make sure everything is going well.

We look forward to the coming days , now my preparations have officially finished and want to concentrade on the fun with all of you and specially of enjoying the CONCERT and Leonard and his group

Hello, I put it on the forum as private message does not go out to your address:

you can join us on monday24th from 18. 30 h onwards the pre-concert meet-up and also the after meet-up in Caffe´Emanuel after the concert (Pizza Bra)

Pre concert meet up is at BREK self service near Arena (Piazza BRA where all the bars are), we are on the first floor a reservered big room for forum members.
Is this ok with you ?

When do you arrive and how long do you stay ?

I have now also 2 more places available for the Sunday evening buffet meet up in Bar Hp3. If you are interested, let me know as soon as possibile.

Hi Andrea, do you know the address of the box office where we pick up our tickets. Is it at the Arena or in the office which is at 6b Via Dietro Anfiteatro. Thanks, Catherine
