Thank you.
There's a song that has a slightly different meaning here than where Bev lives.
It's also a song about fruits, clothes, impatience, the wind, and the ocean.

Hi Hartmut,
The song is probably "Summertime."
The song may have a slightly different meaning for those in Germany (where I believe you live) than
it does to those in Australia where Bev lives as the geographically based variance in cliimate can
result in different relationships to the summer season.
Fruits: I want those peaches on the table / Want the watermelon red
Clothes: I wanna put my light things on
Impatience: Summertime when will you come?
The wind: Wanna roll those windows down / Get the breeze back on my body
The ocean: And the sea out there to swim

Yes ... I simply meant: "Summer" means something like the months June, July, and August in the northern hemisphere - and something like the months December, January, and February in the southern hemisphere.

Hi Hartmut,
Thanks for the challenging question, the song links, and the "Summer" follow-up. With regards to
the latter, thought this might have been what you had in mind, as well as that the land mass of
Australia is very large and contains some extremely different climatic zones.

I hadn't even thought of that when I wrote the question ...

How did you find the solution? - Lots of sleepless pondering nights? Or a big list of fruits?

Hi Hartmut,
There've been sleep challenged nights lately. Nothing to do with the question, of course, just the
availability of necessary hours.

Locally produced fruits are starting to come into season, though
this probably wasn't the cue for finding the solution. Didn't use a fruit list. The song as a solution
arose from my unconscious mind. This after more cerebrally considering the question, which was
to no avail. No other song that had been considered fit all the criteria that you set forth.

Sorry to hear that!

That's (almost) always a satisfying result ...

Ah, the good old exclusion method.

Hi,
Billy Joe Shaver's song "When The Fallen Angels Fly" contains these words: "I near drowned myself
in freedom." A song character in a Leonard Cohen song casts the lack of a particular behavioral
constraint in a similarly negative way. Please name the song.

The first line that comes to my mind is: "I have tried in my way to be free" from "Bird on the Wire" .
But surely that's too easy. And I'm not certain whether it actually fits your description.

Interesting song, by the way.

Hi Hartmut,
A good and quick reply with "Bird on the Wire." The song isn't the one I'm looking for, though
it's a correct answer.

Ok, thanks.
Let's see whether another solution arises from my (or somebody else's) unconscious mind.

Hi,
The casual changing of romantic partners is the behavior. The song character isn't inclined to elaborate
on this to the less than mature (perhaps because they aren't receptive to, or capable of, dealing with such
an elaboration). He can, though, make a pronouncement about the value that he attaches to the behavior.
Offering this hint to assist in the conscious and unconscious search for the answer.

Hm ... Maybe you're talking about "Closing Time".
"and I lift my glass to the awful truth / which you can't reveal to the Ears of Youth"
