Absolutely ! Anyone who cleans and washes the grass before they cut it deserves a glass or two of red wine !

It's a good job I know you have a lawn to cut or that statement could be a bit ambiguous if you get my drift ( peace man ) Have you tried them both at the same time . It blows your head off !

You have got me with that one . Is it some kind of coded reference to the last topic . You know like Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds if you get my drift . I have had it with a few things in my time but never on toast . Peace man !!

Great name Paula ! "Barmouthians " it makes us sound all conquering !Like some marauding tribe ! The Barmouthians entered Snowdonia in the year of our lord 2009 to conquer a mountain and then they made merry and all the locals were in awe of this tribe of fearsome warriors so much so that they offered up a "Presley " ( this being the idol that they worship ) and all the Barmouthians joined in the celebrations . But then it came to pass that the Barmouthians have a hero of their own called " Leonard " and when the locals learned of this " Leonard " they were truely mesmerised with the wisdom of this prophet and from that day forth all of Wales was converted to the teachings of the man they call "Leonard Cohen "
This is hilarious, Yorkshire Lad. Well done 8) .

i too have been getting quiet a few guilty giggles from some of the posts on the sligo threads but nethertheless was glad when i thought folk had finally calmed down a bit and commonsense had kicked in......however after a few days away from the computer i now see that someone has come up with the idea the baking of a commemorative cup cake complete with illustration (i kid thee not) and also a suggestion for the erection of 'prayer flags' consisting of lady girl's polka-dot blouses.....hey ho....who needs monty python........makes all our shenanigans in barmouth seem almost normal....i hope those folk going to sligo remember to actually go to the concerts........

........thankfully the arrangements for the 2012 event are now in the safe hands of our joe...but do you remember this image i posted up on the forum sometime early last year.......it was suppose to illustrate the fears i was having at the time about the growing number of fruit cakes that were popping up all over the forum and their possible takeover of the whole site ......obviously my powers of fortelling the future are somewhat lacking when it comes to geographical locations (thank god for those good folks in lani lane madison ) but i think i definitely got the forecast of a possible fruit cake or cup cake takeover correct...........ta ken

Hello Ken
Pleased to introduce myself..a flag carrying lady girl fruit cake! can't help it..started off as a 'normal' gal but hearing Leonard live again has made me throw all caution to the wind and just go for it! Ha! Ha! the passion runs deep. I do have to admit I have never been called a fruit cake...
The prayer flag flying in the wind with polka dot blouses with Closing Time in the background was a fleeting image I had which was a joke..just having a laugh..
glad you liked it...
that being said the thread did get out of hand and went to places I never thought I would see on this forum..especially the cupcake thing..
glad it is back to normal..
Would love to be coming to the meetup in Salzburg or to Krakow but alas only Sligo is in the cards this year..the wilder the better I say...that is why I chose Ireland..
just wanted to drop in to this thread and say hello...
I truly am 'normal' just a little crazy..just ask Lizzy!
